50th Wedding Anniversary Card
We were invited to events celebrating my bunko buddy, Dede, and her husband Arlan's 50th wedding anniversary. So of course, I needed to make them a card!
The numbers dies are retired but I'll never give them up! I use them all the time!
All the details:
- The Very Vanilla Thick card base is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
- The Gold Foil piece is 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
- Very Vanilla 5" x 3 3/4"
- Scrap of Very Vanilla
To save thickness and to use my gold foil paper better, I first cut it out to size and then I cut out the 5 and 0 plus the banner out of the middle. I then took the large Very Vanilla piece and embossed it with the Country Floral embossing folder. I attached the embossed piece to the gold foil "frame" and added those to the card base.
I cut out the Stitched Oval and stamped the sentiment in Versamark and then covered with Gold Embossing Powder and heat embossed. After attaching the sentiment to the gold foil banner, I attached the banner to the card front with dimensionals. Attach the numbers using mini dimensionals.
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black.
After completing my card and taking my photos, I decided it needed a little something more--so I added gold pearls to some of the flower centers. It really made it more special!
