Candy Cane Lane Gingerbread House
This was one of the cards for my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack and was inspired by a card by Wanda Williams. This card has very little stamping and is a quick and easy card to make.
Card Layers:
Early Espresso card base (8.50 x 5.50, scored at 4.25)
Whisper White 5.25 x 4
Real Red 5.25 x 2.50
Designer Paper 5.25 x 2.25
Layer the designer paper strip onto the Real Red strip. Stamp the sentiment from Star of Light on the top of the Whisper White piece in Real Red ink, leaving enough space below it for the patterned paper piece and a strip of washi tape at the bottom.
Adhere the patterned paper strip onto the white card front.
Add a strip of Candy Cane Lane Washi tape to the bottom.
Adhere the entire card front to the Early Espresso card base.
Using Wink of Stella, go over the rooftops and anywhere there are snow flakes.
Add 2 large rhinestones on either side of the sentiment.
Since the card base is so dark, you need something lighter inside to write on. Take a piece of Whisper White (4 x 5.25) and stamp the inside sentiment from Candy Cane Christmas in Real Red.
Attach another strip of washi tape at the bottom of that piece to match the front.
Attach the white piece to the card base.
