My Dad's 95th Birthday Card
Today is my Dad's 95th birthday and I made him this card. As a WWII vet and with a birthday so close to the 4th, I chose a patriotic color scheme. Join me in wishing him a very happy birthday!
Supplies Needed:
Cardstock--Whisper White Thick cardstock, Night of Navy 5.5 x 4.25, scrap whisper white cardstock
Red Glimmer Paper
Silver Glimmer Paper
Real Red ink
Number of Years Stamp Set
Large Numbers Thinlit Dies
Stars Framelits
Sunburst thinlits
Banner Triple Punch
Using the Big Shot and the Sunburst Thinlit cut out the navy piece. Adhere to the Whisper White card base and trim to fit.
Using the Big shot: Cut out the Star from the silver glimmer paper. Cut out the numbers from red glimmer paper.
Attach the numbers to the star using Tombow Multi Mono liquid glue. Attach the star piece to the sunburst.
It is often very difficult to get pieces to stick onto glimmer paper.
Stamp the sentiment on the scrap of Whisper White and banner cut one end.
Sponge real red ink all around the banner. Wrap some red linen baker's twine (non SU) around the end and tie.
Attach to the card using dimensionals
