You're a Peach Pop-Up Card

I absolutely love the You're a Peach Designer Series Paper so I turned to it again for another fun fold card.

Here are all the details on how to make this cute card:

Supplies:

  • Stamp SetsSweet as a Peach (155050)
  • Card Stock – Calypso Coral (122925); Basic White (159276)
  • Stamp Pads – Balmy Blue (147105); Calypso Coral (147101)
  • Misc. – You’re a Peach (DSP)  (155686); Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon (155672); Seal+ (149699); Paper Trimmer with Scorer (152392); Bone Folder (102300)

Measurements:

  • Calyso Coral:            4 ¼” x 11”
  • Basic White:            2 ¾” x 2 ¾ ; 7/8” x 2 ½”
  • DSP:                           4” x 5” (cut off top 1” and keep for top of card), 6” x 6” for inside

Instructions:

  1. Cut your card base at 4 ¼” x 11”; Score at 4 ¼” and at 5 ½”
  2. Attach your cut DSP so that they line up with the 1” at the top and the 4” square at the bottom.
  3. Wrap your ribbon around the top part of the card and tie.  Then using your seal+ (or adhesive of your choice) adhere the top area between the two score lines.
  4. Stamp your sentiment on the small white banner and attach to the front of the card. Stamp the inside sentiment on the small square of white.
  5. Take your 6” x 6” sheet of DSP and choose which side will be showing in the opening (something fairly simple).  Fold the sheet in half and use your bone folder for a good crease.  Fold in half the other way and get a good crease. With the inside facing down fold diagonally once.  Easily manipulate your paper so that it makes a small square.  Make sure it will open the way you want before adhering to the card base. See photos at end
  6. With your square sitting diagonally in the inside of your card, adhere the top and then the bottom.  Make sure you can easily open the pop-up part of your card before adhering.
  7. Attach your white square to the center of the inside.

This card uses a lot of DSP but it's such a fun card to make (and for the recipient to open).  I made this card for my daughter-in-law and for my monthly tutorial co-op.

Enjoy this fun card!

Beauty of the Earth Sympathy Card

It is most unfortunate when we have to make a sympathy card.  One of my friends, a bunko buddy, passed away this past month.  I was shocked and saddened about her passing, even though I knew she had some serious heart problems.  I was in Florida at the time and had no sympathy card supplies with me (I should know better and be prepared for anything).

I made a sympathy card for her husband and two grown daughters:

I thought this beautiful DSP would be perfect for a more masculine sympathy card.  Sometimes it's hard to find that perfect paper.

I cut the base at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2".  The DSP was 5 1/4" x 4".  I used scraps of Merry Merlot and Basic White to cut out the diecuts.  I used a larger piece of basic white to make an insert for the note inside.

You're a Peach One Sheet Wonder

One Sheet Wonders are marvelous for making multiple cards out of a single sheet of pretty paper!  You can find templates on pinterest but I am a member of Jessica Taylor's One Sheet Wonder Club.  She creates a new template, video and cards every month.  if you are interested in joining her club, click here

I used the You're a Peach paper to create 6 cards

You're a Peach Fun-Fold Card

I was born and raised in Georgia so have always been a Georgia Peach.  I was excited to see Stampin' Up! had the You're A Peach suite (page 60 in the catalog) and it was on my wish list immediately!  I love the pretty papers that Stampin' Up! has created for us.

Here is the card I made:

And here are the directions:

Supplies:

  • Stamp SetsSweet As A Peach  (155050); Artistically Inked (154542}
  • Card Stock --  Basic White (159276); Old Olive (100702)
  • Stamp Pads – Calypso Coral 147101); Old Olive (147090)
  • Misc. – You’re a Peach (DSP)  (155686); Scalloped Contours Dies (155560); Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal+ (149699); Bone Folder (102300)

Measurements:

  • Old Olive:       4 1/4” x 11”                3” x 5 1/2”        3” x 4”
  • Basic White:  3” x 4”       2” x 3 ¼”
  • DSP:                           4” x 12”           5 3/4” x 2 3/8” (for envelope flap); 2 ¾” x  5 7/8” of matching paper (can be the same as the paper used or something contrasting—I used the back of another sheet from the same DSP pack)

Instructions:

  1. Start by cutting your DSP.  Decide if it has a true up/down and cut with it so that it is up on the long side.  You’ll cut two 2 ½” x 4” and one 4” x 5 ¼”.  Keep them lined up in order if you want them to match on the front of your card.
  2. Score your cardstock.  Take the 4 ¼” x 11” piece and score at 2 ¾” and 5 ½”.  Take the 3” x 5 ½” piece and score at ½”.  The score lines need to be very crisp.  Use a bone folder to do this.
  3. Using the adhesive of your choice, begin putting the small pieces of DSP on your large cardstock lining them up.
  4. Adhere the small ½” of the scored 3” x 5 ½” piece of old olive by folding that ½” and attach to the large piece of DSP so that it creates a flap extending out from the card.  Adhere that large piece of DSP lining it up with the previous two pieces.
  5. Fold the 2 ¾” score mark back so it folds over the other pieces.
  6. Attach the contrasting DSP to the front of the flap.
  7. Die cut the 3” x 4” Old Olive and Basic White piece using the third die.  Die cut the smallest Basic White piece using the second die from the inside.
  8. Stamp the sentiment (Thanks) on the larger smaller Basic White piece using Calypso Coral ink.  Attach to the Old Olive piece using Seal+ and then attach both pieces to the card front flap
  9. Stamp the inside sentiment in Old Olive and Calypso Coral and attach to the inside of the card so that it is hidden behind the flap
  10. Take the small piece of DSP and adhere to the flap of the envelope and cut to fit.

I have also done a One Sheet Wonder using the same papers and will share those later.  Enjoy!
