Turtle Shaker Card

A couple of years ago, I posted a shaker card that I made using a now-retired stamp set.  I've had some questions about it since it shows up on my Stampin' Up! blog home page.  Since my blog posts from then are no longer able to be seen, I thought I'd share that project link with you to answer those questions.

I hope that this link (click on the photo to take you to that link) will now work.  I've since used that same stamp set to create a home decor item (more posts on those items later)

Retiring In Colors

Stampin' Up! will be releasing the Retiring Products List on April 9.  BUT we already know that the 2016-2018 In Colors will be retiring.  Last year all of the retiring In Colors flew off the shelves and were gone within an hour or two.  If you want any of these color products (ink pads, re-inkers, markers, cardstock, ribbon, etc), please don't wait until April 9 to order--you might be very disappointed!  Order them now and you should be able to stock up.  If you already have the ink pads, be sure you have the re-inkers--then you'll be able to use your stamp pads forever!  Those re-inkers can be used for a lot of stamping techniques even without the ink pads!  The baby wipes technique, shaving cream technique and to use for water coloring--just to name a few!

Please don't wait to order these products--you don't want to have to buy on ebay at exorbitant prices once they are gone from Stampin' Up! when you could purchase them now at the regular price!

Petal Palette Swap Card

I am going to OnStage Atlanta, one of the Stampin' Up! events being held on April 7.  I signed up for two different organized swaps.  This is the card I created for an Occasions catalog swap.  It features the Petal Palette stamp set and the Petals & More framelit dies.  It also features a Sale-a-Bration item, the Basket Weave embossing folder, that is carrying over to the upcoming annual catalog.

You can't really tell from the photo but I used Wink of Stella on the flowers--really spiffs up the card!

You too could attend events like OnStage by becoming a demonstrator--it's one of the perks of joining!  A 20% discount on all future orders is the reason I joined!  If you join before the 31st, you can pick up the Starter kit for just $99 (plus tax, shipping is FREE) and get to choose $125 worth of product PLUS an additional 2 stamp sets (pick something expensive--there's no price limit on them!).  And there's no obligation beyond that--you don't have to have classes, sell to others, hold parties, etc.  BUT you can do all those things if you want to have a home-based business and make your own hours!  There's going to be a fabulous event in November in Orlando to celebrate Stampin' Up!'s 30th anniversary and it is open to all demonstrators!   To get more information, or to join, go to http://bit.ly/JointheFunwithBecky.  Pick out your kit and your free stamps and have that written down when you go to sign up so you can do so easily.

Happy Stamping!

Sale-a-Bration ending Soon!

I love Sale-a-Bration!  There are so many wonderful promotions and so many ways to earn FREE quality Stampin' Up! products!  And who doesn't like FREE?

I'm so sad when it goes away.  There always seems to be a bit of a lull until the new catalog comes out, but don't forget that the Occasions catalog continues until the end of May.

These great promotions are ending on March 31:

1.  Free products earned with qualifying orders of $50 or more.  There are Level 1 and Level 2 rewards that are available based on how much you order.

2.  Extra Host Rewards- whether you host a party, gather a few friends to put in an order, or just have a large order for yourself, you can earn an additional $25 in host rewards with an order over $250.  Those host rewards can be used for any product that you choose!

3. Easily earn SAB items with Paper Pumpkin! Purchase a prepaid subscription to Paper Pumpkin and you can earn Free products plus save money on a month-to-month subscription.   http://bit.ly/shopPaperPumpkin

4.  The best and greatest deal of all is to purchase a Starter kit!  The starter kit is always a great deal but during Sale-a-Bration, it becomes epic!  For $99 (with free shipping) you get to choose $125 worth of products.  And then Stampin' Up! is offering an additional 2 free stamp sets (pick something expensive--there is no price limit on what you pick!).  Think you don't have what it takes to become a demonstrator?  You don't have to do a thing!  You can just get that 20% discount on every order you place!  You don't have to have classes, sell to anyone, or do anything you don't want to do.  Now, if you do want to do those things, great!  For more information, or to grab your Starter kit, go to http://bit.ly/JointheFunwithBecky.  Make your list beforehand of what you want to order so you'll be ready to order your kit.  Don't wait until the last minute because the 31st is on a Saturday and Stampin' Up!'s offices will be closed.  You can do it all online but if you have any problems, you won't be able to get help from them (you can always contact me for help).

Paper Pumpkin Sale!

Ever thought about trying Paper Pumpkin?  Wondering what it is all about?  Paper Pumpkin is a monthly surprise in a box!  It's a monthly kit that includes all you need to put it together.  Not all kits are card kits, but most are.  You receive an exclusive stamp set, at least one ink spot, embellishments, adhesives, diecuts, cardstock, and envelopes for cards.  The kits are great for anyone who wants to try stamping but isn't sure about it.  They are also great for those who don't have a lot of space for supplies.  You can build a library of inks and stamps that take up very little space.  Best of all, whether you are a new stamper or an experienced one, these kits can be for YOU!  There are usually extras left over that you can use with your own supplies to make even more.

And if you think they are too plain or easy for you, then you can make alternatives.  There is a great group on Facebook called the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club where you can see all sorts of alternative projects.  Even when the kits are something other than card kits, I've made cards using the products in the kit.  The value of the kit is really in the stamp sets.  You get everything in your kit for ~20 plus tax (shipping is included).

Have I piqued your interest?  Well, now is the very best time to start a subscription!  Between now and May 10, first-time subscribers can get their first two months at 50% off!  Go to http://bit.ly/PaperPumpkinSubscribe and enter the Promo Code SAVEFIFTY0418 and you'll be all set!

Springtime Foils Birthday Card

I am working on a One-Sheet Wonder template and wanted to share one of the cards I made with it.  This card will also be one of the ones we'll make at my March 11 class.  It features two sheets of the Springtime Foils Paper (FREE Sale-a-Bration item).  This is gorgeous paper and has sheets highlighted with gold foil, silver foil, and copper foil.  They are so easy to color with the Stampin' Blends too!

Here is a close up of the flower, which I colored and then fussy cut.  This leaf paper features both silver and gold highlights.  It's so much fun!  And will be available only until March 31.

All the details and printable instructions can be found here

I'll be sharing the other cards I made with this template later as I complete them.

5 Years!

This is the 5th anniversary of Paper Pumpkin and the kit for March is special.  It includes a free gift and a specially designed box.  Not sure what Paper Pumpkin is all about?  It's a surprise in a box that arrives every month.  It includes all you need to complete the kit.  The first kit you get includes a clear stamping block.  Subsequent kits include all the stamps, at least one ink spot, cardstock, embellishments, envelopes, glue dots, dimensionals and anything else you would need.  Not all the kits are cards but most are and they make 6-12 cards.  Usually, there are a lot of leftover pieces so you can continue to make cards using your own supplies. The cost is ~$20/month.  The stamps included in the kits are all exclusive photopolymer stamps.  As a subscriber, you have the option to purchase past kits that are available.  Many kits sell out.  You must subscribe by March 10 to get this kit.  There are several ways to subscribe.

You can do a month to month subscription (you can suspend your subscription if you don't want to get a month's kit--it's all in your control).  You can subscribe here or click on the monthly kit link above.

You can also do a prepaid subscription (one month, 3-month, 6-month, 12-month).  You save by purchasing the 6 or 12-month ones over the cost of the month to month.  The nice thing about the prepaid subscriptions is that right now during Sale-a-Bration, you also earn Sale-a-Bration rewards!

To get the prepaid kits, add them to any order or you can click hereIMPORTANT!  When you purchase a prepaid kit, Stampin' Up! will send you an email containing a code for that kit.  Make sure you go to http://bit.ly/PaperPumpkinSubscribe and set up an account.  You will then put your code in and you'll be set.  Just don't wait until the last minute if you want this March kit.  Order early enough to get the email from Stampin' Up! and use the code by March 10!

If you've subscribed before but haven't for a while, these new kits are wonderful!  They just keep getting better and better!  Stampin' Up! has listened to our concerns about the early kits and made changes.
