June Paper Pumpkin

The June Paper Pumpkin kit was designed by Stampin' Up!'s CEO Sara Douglass and is all about sharing sunshine.

You may have heard about Sunshine Boxes elsewhere (I saw a great post about them from Better Homes & Gardens).  A Sunshine box contains things to bring sunshine and joy to friends and family.  You can add anything to the box but especially things that are yellow and/or orange.  Fun for the recipient!

This Paper Pumpkin kit will be designed so you can share sunshine with your friends or family!  It's yellow with a sun on the front and it comes with extra stickers so you can cover the Paper Pumpkin logo to make it especially yours!

Sara has shared a YouTube video on this kit.  You can view it here

This kit will be sold globally (normally Paper Pumpkin is available only in the US and Canada) so it will definitely sell out.  To make sure you are able to get this kit, subscribe by June 10. Since the May kit sold out two weeks before the subscription date, I would recommend subscribing immediately!

Ornate Garden One Sheet Wonder Cards

I'm a member of Jessica Taylor's One Sheet Wonder Club (free to those in her downline--YAY) and I wanted to share the cards I made with the April template.  Unfortunately, I can't share the template with you since she sells membership in her club.  But I can share the cards I've made and give you directions on making them.  I decided I wanted to feature the Ornate Garden Suite, which will be in the new upcoming 2020 Annual Catalog.

For the cards that have the diagonal cuts--take a piece of DSP that is 4" x 4" and place two opposite corners on your trimmer and cut on that diagonal.  You will probably want to start the cut in the middle and move out to the corners so you don't catch the corner in the trimmer and smush it.  For the ones that have the sentiment on white in the middle--I took a piece of whisper white and cut it to 4 x 5 1/4" and added the diagonal pieces to the top and the bottom. I added twine or ribbon to the edges (wrap around the edges before you adhere to the card front).

For one of the cards I embossed a piece of Terracotta Tile (5 1/4" x 4") and then added the diagonal piece to that before adding to the card front.  And for one card I stamped the flower with Terracotta Tile ink onto Terracotta Tile cardstock.

For some I punched out leaves using the sprig punch and Old Olive and Mint Macaron cardstock.  I then cut some leaves off to add to the backs of die cut flowers.  For others I added champagne jewels to the flower centers.

Don't forget the insides of the cards!  I always put either whisper white or very vanilla on the insides of cards made with colored cardstock.  It makes the inside sentiment more visible and our sentiments stamp better on that cardstock.  It is also easier for you to write a message.

Here are photos of the individual cards and the insides (some insides are duplicated):

These were fun cards to make and will be going out tomorrow to my customers.  I can't wait until the May template comes out to see what I can do with it!

Last Chance Items

Stampin' Up! has released the retiring list and these items are "while supplies last".  Some are great deals and others are just leaving us.  Some items are actually carrying over to the new catalog but the bundles won't.  Bundles save you 10%!

You can see all the products available here

Pdf of the annual catalog list.  It comes in tiny (at ~20% so you need to enlarge it to see it properly!)

Pdf of the Mini Catalog Retiring List

There are some confusing things in this list.

  • The Blends are NOT retiring--they are just doing away with the individual ones  and will be coming only as a combo pack in the new catalog with new ordering numbers.
  • Yes, our snail adhesive is going away so if you need refills, get them right away!  But we will be getting some new and better adhesive runners in the new catalog!
  • Some items are discounted and some are not.  The stamp sets will be guaranteed available until mid-May but dies, punches, and the like are "while supplies last"
  • The embossing plate for the Big Shot is going away.  This plate replaces one of the clear plates when you are using the new 3D embossing folders.  Our new (yes, you heard it here--we're getting a new embossing/diecutting machine) machine will come with the proper plates.

Timeless Tulips Mother's Day Card

For my March tutorial co-op, I created a Mother's Day card featuring the Timeless Tulips stamp set and punch.

This card features the 2019-2021 In Color and Regals DSP.  I cut out a strip of the Rococo Rose paper at 3/4" x 5 1/2".  The Old Olive piece was 5 1/2" x 3 1/2".

I stamped the tulips in Rococo Rose and punched out the large one and fussy-cut the smaller ones.  The leaves were stamped in Old Olive and punched out with the Tulip Builder punch.  The stems were also stamped in Old Olive and fussy-cut.  Using Wink of Stella (which did not show up in the photo) I colored the tulips.

The sentiment was stamped in Rococo Rose onto a diecut from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

NEW! Ornate Garden Suite

Stampin' Up! is releasing early a suite that will be in the new upcoming annual catalog!  That makes me happy because April always seems to be about all the items that are retiring!

You can purchase the entire suite or anything individually.   Here is a breakdown of the items in the suite:

And here are the dies that go with the suite:

Here are some samples of cards Stampin' Up! created:

I have a Pinterest Board on this suite as well.  I will be adding to the board as I get more samples

And since I mentioned things that are retiring above, we don't know yet what is retiring.  BUT we do know the 2018-2020 In Colors will be retiring.  If you love these colors, don't wait to purchase ink pads, ink refills, cardstock, and the Designer Series Paper!  These items WILL sell out!  Beat the rush and get them now!
