Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wanted to let you know that I am thankful for my family, friends, and my health.  As you may know, I am a colon cancer survivor and I am thankful each and every day that my tests continue to come back clear.

I am also thankful for YOU!  My friend, my follower, my customer.  Without your support, I'd have no business and I wanted to let you know that I appreciate YOU!

Swaps from OnStage

I wanted to share with you the swaps I made for OnStage as well as the ones I received.

Here are mine:

Here are photos of just some of the swaps I received--I have many, many more but don't want to overwhelm you with all the photos. ;)

But I do want to showcase one particular swap I received from fellow demonstrator and teammate Mary Walk.  She lives in Florida and created a fantastic card/luminary.

OnStage Gifts

One of the great things about attending OnStage are the gifts--to team members, roommates, friends. I created a gift bag that I filled with a card, an Altoids tin, a Starbucks coffee holder, and a wooden ornament.

Here is the gift bag.  It was so easy to create!  I purchased the white bags at Dollar Tree (3 for $1!) and then decorated them.  You can do this for your holiday gifts as well.  I cut out some Designer Paper (this was 6 inches across and I cut it at 4"--Normally I would have done 6x6 but I didn't have enough paper for that.)  I scored it in half and then used the ClassicLabel punch to punch out the center of the score lines so that the handles would fit through it.  I had to punch a little more than once to get this.  You just punch a portion of that score area so that it is not so large.  I created the tag using the glimmer paper.  I stamped the sentiment "For You" in poppy parade ink on whisper white and then it out using the Stitched Labels Framelits.  You could use a circle punch to get the same effect.  I layered that on a scalloped circle of Poppy Parade.  Mrs. Claus was diecut from the designer paper using the matching framelits.  I attached them to the tag with dimensionals.

Now for what was in that bag:

I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock (cut 8.5 x 3') to create the holder for the Starbucks Peppermint Mocha coffee and rounded off the edges.  I stamped the sentiment using Cherry Cobbler ink on whisper white and cut out with the Coffee Cafe framelits.  The "whipped cream" was cut out of glimmer paper. I used a little Tear & Tape to hold the sides together.

I created Wooden Ornaments using some wood slices I purchased on Amazon.  I stamped them with various stamps using Stazon ink and let them set for a few days.  I then colored them in with Stampin' Blends.  Here is one of my ornaments

I used our gold cord to create the hanger.

Here is the card I created for this gift bag:

I'll share the swaps I made for trading and the swaps I received in another blog post.

Many Holiday Catalog Items Selling Out

Many of the items in the Holiday catalog are selling out and may be gone as early as next week.  Stampin' Up! always tries to forecast what will and won't sell and this year the Holiday catalog was wildly popular.

If you want any of these items, you need to order them IMMEDIATELY!  There is no guarantee these items will be available later in the month.

Stampin' Up! has told us these items are running low due to a communication problem in their inventory system and are working to get that system fixed so this will not happen again.  All items in the Holiday catalog are "as supplies last" but they never expected for this many items to run out.

Hello from OnStage!

I'm in Orlando, Florida, celebrating Stampin' Up!'s 30th anniversary and it's a ball!

Stampin' Up! loves to pamper us and shower us with all sorts of goodies--stamp sets, a carryall, bag, designer paper, and more!  YOU could join us at the next one in April (just grab a Starter Kit and join the Stampin' Up! family!)

We've received the new Occasions catalog (coming in January) and also the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  You are going to love the new offerings!  A lot of the products coordinate with items in the annual catalog so will work with things you already own!  How great is that?  Makes what you own more usable!  We've received some great gifts--a carry bag, a tool carrying case, notebooks, pens, stamp sets, and gingham designer paper so far.

FYI:  Stampin' Up! is making some changes in their type of stamps.  They will no longer sell wood-mount stamps (except for some large background stamps).  The Clear-mount stamps are also changing--now they will be called "Cling" and you can actually put the stickers on and they will stick to your clear blocks or Stamparatus!  YAY!!!  I've tried them and they really stick!

Love the cat punch?  There's now a dog punch and a new stamp set for the cat!

Love stitched shape framelits?  There are Stitched Rectangle dies (13 in all!).

Love butterflies?  You'll love all the offerings in both the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs for butterflies!

If you want to be sure to receive the catalogs from me (I'll be mailing them out mid-December), you will need to do one of two things:

1. Place an order.  Everyone who has ordered from me in the past year will automatically be added to my mailing list

2. Request a catalog.  You can fill out this form or click on the "request a catalog" in the menu above.

You know, you TOO could join me at future fun events just by purchasing the Starter Kit!  It's always a great deal at $99 since you get to choose $125 worth of products in your kit.  Order it now and you'll be able to order from the Occasions catalog (at a savings of 20% off!) in December!

Snowflake Showcase

Do you love snowflakes like I do?  I'm not much of a Santa girl but love snowflakes!

Stampin' Up! has released an exclusive bundle for the month of November--Snowflakes!  But not just snowflakes--there is also a stamp set with matching dies that are suitable year-round.

There are two stamp sets, a set of gorgeous snowflake dies that match, snowflake trinkets, and white velvet paper.  Buy one, or buy them all!

Products are available while supplies last or until November 30.

Here is a video showing what all is included

Have fun with these great sets--I know I will!  I'll have some samples to show you in just a few days when I return from OnStage!

Origami/Diaper-Fold Treat Holders

I made a bunch of treat holders as swaps for OnStage Orlando.  I have made these in the past but was reminded of them by Julie Davison.  These are really easy to make and can be made any size.  I made some using papers that were 5x5 (for regular Ghiradelli squares), 4.5 x 4.5 for others, and 4x4 for mini treats.  Choose whatever paper you like (make sure you like both sides as they will show) and fold!

Fold in half to make a triangle, fold each side into the middle (I used my grid paper to line them up so that they are straight) and then fold down the top piece.  Use your bone folder to get crisp folds and you don't have to use any adhesive to hold these together!

Decorate however you like!  I used Stitched Shapes framelits for circles, Stitched Labels Framelits (along with The Stitched All Around Stamp set), Treat Time Stamp Set with matching Petite Treat framelits, leaves from the Foliage Frame Framelits, Lakeside Framelits, and the Christmas Traditions Punch Box.

Last Month's Class Cards

I wanted to share with you the cards we made in my class last month.  I thought I had already shared but had not.  First up is a Halloween card using the Toil & Trouble DSP and the Cauldron Bubble Bundle:

This is a quick and easy card and you can use the matching framelits to cut out different parts of the Designer Series Paper!

Next is another card using Nature's Poem DSP.  I love this paper!  It makes such elegant cards!  This is the third card I've made using this paper (I'll share others later as they are swaps for OnStage and I don't want to spoil the surprise).

Stamping leaves and cutting them out with the matching framelits makes it so easy!

Last up is a card using the Country Home suite of products:

This was a fun card to make, using some cotton from cotton balls to mimic the cotton bolls on the Country Home stamp set!  The Galvanized Metallic paper is so pretty in person too!
