I just want to send out my love, thoughts and prayers to all who are in Hurricane Matthew's path--to those directly affected and to those marginally affected.  My Dad (age 95) and sister live on the beach in Daytona Beach, Florida.  They moved inland to a hotel and are riding out the storm.  I've been watching the TV coverage and realize there may be damage to their condo. I am just so happy that they are safe!  And as this storm moves northward, I pray for my daughter-in-law's family and their home on St. Simon's Island, Georgia.  They have evacuated to my son's home in Atlanta and I know they are safe but their home may sustain damage.  We can deal with damage, but we can't accept loss of life.  Thank you for your thoughts and prayers as well.

Today is the last day to take advantage of the specials Stampin' Up! made available to celebrate World Card Making Day.  It's a great way to stock up on some card stock and adhesives. You can get the Envelope Punch Board (Christmas present, maybe???) .  This board can make much more than envelopes, although it is great for creating your own envelopes of all sizes. You can make bags, boxes, candy holders--all sorts of things!  And the Designer Tin of Cards???  Whether you are new to card making, or a seasoned crafter, this tin is fantastic!  You have all (to include die cuts, sequins, twine) you need to make 16 cards!  The stamp set used in the directions is NOT included but any stamp set with sentiments will do.  If you do want to make the cards as shown in the directions, you will need the Designer Tin of Cards Stamp Set (141739).  Get that here: http://bit.ly/DesignerTinofCardsStampSet

Those are cards I made with the Designer Tin of Cards.  One thing about that kit is that once you finish the kit, you have a wonderful tin with dividers to hold your completed cards.  Another thing is that the cards all have samples of the Designer Series of Paper (DSP) in the catalog.  All that pretty paper and it's already cut for you to use on these cards!  And if you want you can mix them all up and make whatever you want with them.  There are extras left over too that you can use.

The swap challenge for September was for a card that epitomized autumn. I immediately visualized falling leaves. If you would like to receive a handmade card from me, just place an order and I will send one to you!

The Designer Series Paper Special is BACK!  I love when Stampin' Up! offers this special.  I use a lot of pretty paper and the quality of Stampin' Up!'s is superb!  All are double-sided and color coordinate so very well.  This paper is great for One Sheet Wonder cards (where you can make 8+ cards out of a single sheet of paper).

I think most of these papers are more vibrant that the photography shows.  Stampin' Up! did not do a very good job at showing these papers in the catalogs.  I was so surprised when I ordered the Blooms & Bliss paper and it was so much prettier than what it looked like in the catalog!

Throughout the month I will be featuring the different papers and showing you cards made with these papers.  To start, I will share a few things made with the Blooms & Bliss paper.
