September Swap--Autumn!

September swap

The swap challenge for September was for a card that epitomized autumn. I immediately visualized falling leaves. If you would like to receive a handmade card from me, just place an order and I will send one to you!

Buy 3, Get 1 FREE Designer Series Special

The Designer Series Paper Special is BACK!  I love when Stampin' Up! offers this special.  I use a lot of pretty paper and the quality of Stampin' Up!'s is superb!  All are double-sided and color coordinate so very well.  This paper is great for One Sheet Wonder cards (where you can make 8+ cards out of a single sheet of paper).

Here are the papers that are being featured:

I think most of these papers are more vibrant that the photography shows.  Stampin' Up! did not do a very good job at showing these papers in the catalogs.  I was so surprised when I ordered the Blooms & Bliss paper and it was so much prettier than what it looked like in the catalog!

Throughout the month I will be featuring the different papers and showing you cards made with these papers.  To start, I will share a few things made with the Blooms & Bliss paper.

You'll see some of those are One Sheet Wonder cards--Using a template to cut your pretty papers and then make multiple cards make increasing your stash of cards so easy!

Swirly Bird Mickey Mouse Card

Swirly bird mickey

My daughter asked me to make a birthday card for the son of one of her good friends--he is turning one and is having a Mickey Mouse- themed party. I thought of all the cards I had seen on Pinterest of using the Swirly Bird stamp set to make a Mickey Mouse card and set out to make him one.

No Bones About It Slider Birthday Card

No bones

One of my 5 grandsons turned 4 today and I decided to make him a slider card. Stampin' Up! makes it sooo easy to do! Using the No Bones About It stamp set (what boy doesn't like dinosaurs?) I created this card. My next class is all about slider and shaker cards. So this fits right in!

Week Three Special Deals

Stampin' Up! has released their new Special Deals for this week.

I use the Layering Oval Thinlits all the time--You get 15 framelits now on sale for just $26.25!  WOW!  And you might not realize how versatile those Project Life kits are.  I don't really scrapbook or use Project Life as a scrapbook.  BUT what I do use are all those beautiful cards as card fronts!  Make yourself some easy peasy cards!

Here is a video that Stampin' Up! just put out about those Project Life kits:

If you are interested in any of these, don't delay in purchasing.  You can click on the "shop now" button above and then click on Special Deals or you can go directly there here:

BOGO Paper Pumpkin

Aren't a Paper Pumpkin subscriber?  Why not?  If you haven't tried these kits before, now is the time to start!  Right now, Stampin' Up! is offering a very special deal--Buy one month and get the second month free!

That's right, you get two for the price of one!  Order now and you will get the September kit and then the October kit will be free!  If you decide you don't like it, you can always cancel after the October kit (don't cancel before then!) but I hope you'll decide to keep receiving this monthly surprise in a box!

Most are card kits, although there are usually 3-4 a year that are not.  Even if it is not a card kit, you can take the elements of the kit and make cards with them!  I usually make a few of the cards like the directions show and then make alternative projects.  Remember, the value in the kits is the stamp set!  These are exclusive to Paper Pumpkin and of course can be used over and over again. The kits come with stamps, ink, paper products, embellishments, glue dots or dimensionals--really just about all you need to put these kits together!  You'll need scissors and perhaps some tape.  You even get a clear block in your first kit!

And as a subscriber, you can also purchase past kits, if available!

Want to see what the kits are all about?  Check out the Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin pinterest page

You can also put Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin in your search box on pinterest and find all sorts of alternative projects made by many people.

Prefer to search on Facebook?  There is a great Paper Pumpkin group on Facebook called Paper Pumpkin Fan Club:

I am so in awe of the creativity of everyone making these items and I'm so happy to have these groups to further inspire me!

The 10th of the month is the cut-off to receive the September kit, so if you want to get that kit, subscribe now!  Just click on the Monthly kit button above and get your Paper Pumpkin subscription going!

Want to see some past kits and cards that I have done?  Here is a collage of many of the kits (not room for them all!)

I hope that you'll take advantage of this great deal and try out Paper Pumpkin!  You do have to be a first-time subscriber to take advantage of this offer.

Happy Stamping!
