November Paper Pumpkin

I've been working on my November Paper Pumpkin kits. My daughter needed gift card holders and I thought the treat packages would work just fine for this.

I am filling the treat bags with chocolates and then will add the gift cards once my daughter gets them to me so I can't close them up just yet.  I added bling to the fronts too.

I am normally not a great fan of the treat holder kits but this kit was wonderful!  Easy peasy to make and I will ussome of the extras left for my bowling teammates.  The rest I will use as card fronts.

The paper pumpkin kits just get better and better!  If you'd like to try out the kits, you can get a prepaid subscription in the online store (1 kit, 3 kits, 6 kits, or 12 kits) or you can subscribe and get it month-to-month.  You can suspend your month-to-month at any time and can add more kits if you think you'll want it. FYI:  If you get the prepaid kits, you will have to pay shipping on them but shipping is included in the month-month.  When you purchase a prepaid kit, Stampin' Up! will email you a code that you will have to put into an account at mypaperpumpkin.com.  Also, Sale-a-Bration is coming in January and I usually get a one year subscription to get loads of SAB freebies!  A 3-month subscription will net you a free SAB item!  But if you have never subscribed or it's been a long time since you have subscribed, you might want to try a one month kit to see how the kits have improved!

Blackberry Beauty Sympathy Card

For my November tutorial I created a slimline card using a template from Jessica Taylor's One Sheet Wonder Club (if you are a member of my team you get to join her club free of charge!).  Unfortunately I needed a sympathy card so I made this one.  Of course you can change the sentiment to anything that you need.

I forgot to take a photo of the inside but it included a sympathy sentiment with stamped leaves.

Here are all the details:

Supplies:

  • Stamp SetsHeartfelt Wishes (156541); Peaceful Moments (151595); Lovely You (152525)
  • Card Stock – Very Vanilla Thick (144237); Rich Razzleberry (115316); Gold Foil (132622); Very Vanilla (101650)
  • Stamp Pads – Rich Razzleberry (147091)
  • Misc. –Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper (DSP)  (156458); Stitched Rectangles Dies (151820); Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack (156469) (or any leaf die); Multipurpose Glue (110755)

Measurements:

  • Very Vanilla Thick:   8 1/2” x 7, scored at 3 ½”
  • Very Vanilla: 1 5/8” x 3 5/8”
  • Rich Razzleberry:  3 ¼” x 8 ¼”
  • Gold Foil:       1 7/8” x 3 7/8”                                   scraps (banner)
  • DSP:               3” x 8” , cut in half diagonally

Instructions:

  1. Cut the DSP piece in half diagonally. You can use it either on the bottom or top depending on the up/down pattern
  2. Add the cut DSP to the Rich Razzleberry piece (use glue or adhesive of your choice). Attach to the Card base.
  3. Die cut the very vanilla stitched rectangle. Stamp the sentiment on the piece with Rich Razzleberry ink.
  4. Attach the sentiment rectangle to the piece of gold foil and glue to the card front.
  5. Take the gold flower from the ephemera pack (or your own leaf die made from gold foil) and carefully glue down to the card front.
  6. On the inside of the card stamp, “with deepest sympathy” from Peaceful Moments and a leaf from Lovely You, using Rich Razzleberry ink.
  7. Decorate a #9 envelope with the same leaf

It's sad when you need a sympathy card but it's nice to have some made in advance so you can just grab one that's appropriate to send.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I know that I am thankful for my family and for my health.  Little by little I am getting better.  My shoulder is healing well and my tests for my breast cancer are all clear.  I am truly thankful.

And I am thankful for all of YOU!  All of you who read my posts, who support my business by sharing posts and making purchases and those of you who are encouraging and enjoy my cards and those who have followed my health issues and wished me well by your thoughts, prayers, and your cards.  Thank you!
