S parkly Halloween card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and glitter paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bumblebee Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 5-1/8" of tiny yellow stars on black background design from Sweet Stockings 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Black 12" x 12" Glitter Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Banner Year Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "happy haunting" sentiment from the Banner Year Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Bumblebee Ink Pad. Stamp it on the vertical vanilla rectangle about 1" from the top and 5/8" from the right side.
Mount the bat image from the Banner Year Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it three times around the sentiment on the vanilla rectangle remembering to re-ink the stamp each time. Make sure the bats don't go past 1-1/2" from the left edge and 2" from the bottom edge.
Adhere the strip of Sweet Stockings 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper to the left edge of the stamped vanilla rectangle.
Adhere the vanilla cardstock/designer paper rectangle to the Basic Black rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of the Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the stamped, matted, cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the cardstock and designer paper. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Basic Black rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Bumblebee card.
Unlock the Cat Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the glitter paper strip into the punch so you can see the glittery side and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cat punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the ribbon and the right side of the designer paper at the bottom.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front near the top. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three different sizes of black stars from the sheet of Cute Stars Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly around the sentiment between the stamped bats.
