P retty fall gratitude card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cajun Craze Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of copper and gold foil acorns and leaves on vanilla background design from Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/8" of gold cardstock from Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 5-1/8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 3-3/4" of bronze cardstock from Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3" from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Beautiful Autumn Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "my heart is grateful for you," "thank you," or "life is better with you" sentiment from the Beautiful Autumn Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla strip so the right end of the sentiment is about 3/4" from the right edge of the vanilla strip.
Mount the small outline image of the maple leaf from the Beautiful Autumn Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right end of the stamped vanilla strip between the right edge of the sentiment and the right edge of the strip. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub or Simply Shammy and put it away for now.
Mount the small solid image of the maple leaf from the Beautiful Autumn Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped Cherry Cobbler outline maple leaf.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the stamped vanilla sentiment strip to adhere it to the center of the gold Brushed Metallic Cardstock strip.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the matted sentiment strip to adhere it to the bottom of the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Paper rectangle so it is about 3/8" from the bottom.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle to the center of the large Cinnamon Cider rectangle and then to the front of the Cajun Craze card.
Unlock the Jar Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the bronze Brushed Metallic Cardstock rectangle into the punch. Punch.
Cut a 2" piece of the Copper 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the jar punch out at the base of the screw top area of the jar. Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the ends of the ribbon in place on the back of the jar punch out.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the jar punch out and add some more strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive as needed. Adhere the jar punch out with ribbon attached to the top to the front of the card so it overlaps the sentiment strip just to the left of the sentiment and the bottom of the jar is about 1/2" from the bottom of the card.
Mount the small outline image of the oak leaf from the Beautiful Autumn Set on Block A. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it on the bottom edge of the vertical 1" x 3" Cinnamon Cider strip so the stem of the leaf is pointing down. Re-ink the stamp with the VersaMark Pad and stamp it in the same way on the bottom of the vertical 1" x 3" strip of Cajun Craze Cardstock.
Mount the small outline image of the maple leaf from the Beautiful Autumn Set on Block A. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it on the bottom edge of the vertical 1-1/4" x 3" Cherry Cobbler strip so the stem of the leaf is pointing down.
Lay the stamped cardstock strips on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped images. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
One at a time, heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Unlock the oak leaf punch from the Autumn Punch Pack. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one of the stamped and heat embossed oak leaves into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other stamped and heat embossed oak leaf.
Unlock the maple leaf punch from the Autumn Punch Pack. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped and heat embossed maple leaf into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the punched out oak leaves to the top of the jar punch out on the card front so the stems are tucked under the ribbon and they hang down at angles with a little space between them. The leaf on the left should overhang the left side of the jar a bit.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the punched out maple leaf to the jar punch out so it overlaps the two oak leaves in the center and the stem is pointing up.
Pick out one acorn from the Acorn Trinkets.
Cut a 4" piece of the Gold 1/16" Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.
Slide the Acorn Trinket onto the Gold 1/16" Trim. Tie the trinket in the center of the trim using a knot. Trim the ends of the trim and fray both ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the knot/trinket to the ribbon on the jar punch out just above the leaves.
