F un fold birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Misty Moonlight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 2-1/8" x 6-3/8"
- 2 pieces each 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" of blue waves pattern from Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 3" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
Mount the fish poking out of the water image from the By The Dock Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of one of the vertical strips of Sand & Sea Designer Paper.
Mount the flying bird image from the By The Dock Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the other vertical strip of Sand & Sea Designer Paper.
Adhere the stamped pieces of designer paper to the two front flaps of the card so the bird image is on the left flap and the fish image is on the right flap.
Pick out the stitched square die from the Stitched Shapes Dies that cuts out a square that is 2-5/8" square. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Insert the Crumb Cake square cut out into the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Place the dry embossed Crumb Cake square cut out upside down on your work area so it makes a diamond. Put two small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the diamond on the right side (this will be the left side when turned face up). Make sure the adhesive does NOT go past the center line of the diamond. Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and adhere the dry embossed diamond to the front of the card on the left flap. The upper and lower points of the diamond should be in line with the center opening of the card front. Make sure no adhesive is on the right flap or the card will not open.
Mount the "happy birthday" sentiment from the By The Dock Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it near the bottom center of the vanilla square. Leave room to cut it out.
Pick out the stitched square die from the Stitched Shapes Dies that cuts out a square that is 2-1/8" square. Put it on top of the sentiment square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the bottom of the square. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment square cut out to the center of the dry embossed Crumb Cake diamond.
Mount the oar/paddle image from the By The Dock Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the remaining Crumb Cake rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp between images. Leave room between the image to cut them out with the matching dies.
Pick out the 2 small oar/paddle dies from the Dockside Dies. Put them on top of the stamped oars/paddles on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the images are centered in the dies. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the oar/paddle cut outs to the top of the sentiment square so they crisscross in the center just above the sentiment.
Use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick Tool to pick out 1 large Pool Party sequin from the Whale Of A Time Sequins. Use the Fine-Tip Glue, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, or Mini Glue Dots to adhere the sequin to the center of the oars/paddles where they cross.
