Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 5-1/2" square from Real Red or Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Real Red Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Whisper White Thick Cardstock
- 3/4" x 3" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Silver Glimmer Paper
- scrap of Basic Black Cardstock
- scrap of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Pick out the four-pointed box die from the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies. Put it on top of the square of Real Red or Whisper White Thick Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Fold on all score lines using the Bone Folder to help you get sharp, crisp folds.
Curl the four points a bit by running them over the edge of the Bone Folder.
For the Santa's belly box:
Adhere the 3/4" x 3" strip of Basic Black Cardstock to one of the box faces with the loop handle on top so it is about 3/8" up from the bottom edge. Trim off excess black cardstock on the sides using Paper Snips.
Pick out the small filigree square die from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the Silver Glimmer Paper square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Keep the small square cut from the center for use on a future project. Use Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the outline small filigree square cut out to the front of the box so it is centered over the black strip and looks like a buckle.
For the snowman face box:
Unlock the Elephant Builder Punch and use it to punch out two small elephant ear shapes from the scrap of Basic Black Cardstock. Use Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the ear punch outs to the top of one of the box faces with the loop handle on top as eyes. Make sure the flat edges are on the bottom. Keep the scrap of cardstock out and keep the punch unlocked.
Use Paper Snips to cut a small triangle shape from the end of the scrap of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. Use Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the cut out to the box face just below the eyes as a nose.
Use the Elephant Builder Punch to punch out five tiny eye dots from the scrap of Basic Black Cardstock. Use Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the dot punch outs to the box face in a slightly upturned line to make a smile.
Use the Chalk Marker to add eyeballs to the eye punch outs.
Fold the two points with the handle on top in to the middle so the handles meet and stick up. Fold one of the points with a slit in it up and over the top of the handles and slide the handles through the slit. Fill the box with candy or treats. Fold the other point with a slit in it up and over the top of the handles and slide the handles through the slit.
As you are ready to stamp using the Delightful Day Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Just A Little Something For You" sentiment image from the Delightful Day Set on Block B. Use the brush tip of the Basic Black Marker to ink up only the words "For You." Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it in the center of the Real Red square. Re-ink the words "For You" with the marker, breathe on the stamp, stamp in the center of the Whisper White Thick square.
Pick out the square tag die from the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on the red square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Pick out the teardrop tag die from the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on the white square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
For the Santa's belly box:

For the snowman face box:
