M y first faux leather card using Tasteful Touches. I love this stamp set. I am thrilled that it will carry over to the 2021 Annual Catalog!
Project Recipe
Begin with 8-1/2" x 4-1/4" Very Vanilla cardstock scored at 5-1/2" and folded to create card base.
Using a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of cardstock cover it with small pieces of masking tape. Don't leave any area uncovered. Once covered trim the excess off the edges with scissors.
(Hint: if you use a slightly larger piece of cardstock, when you finish coving it with masking tape, you can cut the size down to the 5-1/4" x 4" quicker than trimming it with scissors.)
Cover the entire area with Early Espresso ink. I used make-up brushes, because my SU Blending Brushes were on backorder.
Go back over the entire area with Soft Suede to lighten it up. This makes the Early Espresso stand out more along the edges of the tape making it look more like leather.
Cover the entire area with Clear Embossing Powder and set with a Heat Tool. No need to use Versamark or Heat &Stick Powder. The powder will stick without it.
Adhere the Faux Leather to the front of the card base.
Using a 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" Very vanilla cardstock. Stamp it third generation with a background stamp from the Tasteful Touches stamp set with Soft Suede.
Using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink stamp the sprig along the top of the cardstock and the flower in the bottom right corner. Set aside a moment to dry.
Using a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock stamp a greeting using Early Espresso ink and punch it out using the Everyday Label Punch.
Punch out a second label using the Early Espresso cardstock and cut it in half vertically. Adhere it to the Very Vanilla punched greeting to both sides to frame it.
Use Light Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends to color in the flower and the sprigs.
Adhere the pane to the front of the card using Liquid Glue.
Next, Adhere the greeting to the front of the panel using Dimensionals.
Stamp the feather from the set onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Fussy cut it and adhere it to the card using Dimensionals.
Add small Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the center of the flower.
