T his is a tutorial to show you how easy it is to make swing cards using Soft Seedling stamp set from the July - December 2022 mini catalog.
Project Recipe
Dimensions:
Cherry Cobbler: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" and 6-5/8" (or 2-1/8" from the opposite side) It's easiest if you don't fold at the 2-1/8" score line until after we cut half a circle with our die; (2) 3-1/4" x 3-1/4"
White: 3-1/2" x 2-1/2"
Crushed Curry (2) 3" x 3"
Design a Daydream DSP: 5-1/4" x 4"; 5-1/4" x 2" (This is hostess paper, so if you don't have it you can host a party through me, or you can choose another DSP with Olive Green in it.)
Use the third largest scallop circle from the Layering Circles Die set. Carefully line it up, so the score line is in the center of the die. Then put the top plate on, but only up to the score line or a little bit beyond it. Cut the half circle. This will be the background for your card front.
After doing this, cut the 4th largest circle and the 4th largest scallop circle from the Layering Circles Die set using Crushed Curry cardstock.
Cut a second circle from the white cardstock.
Set these aside.
Now we're going to stamp the leaf. Tap the entire stamp using Crushed Curry to color the leaf.
Using a sponge dauber add Pumpkin Pie ink over the Crushed Curry along the outer parts of the leaf.
Next, use a sponge dauber to add Cherry Cobbler to the edges of the leaf.
Add ink to the stems over the Crushed Curry with the paintbrush end using the Old Olive Stampin' Write marker.
Huff on it and stamp onto White 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" cardstock ensuring the leaf is entirely on the cardstock.
Fussy cut the leaf. This piece can overhang the Cherry Cobber scallop. Line it up with the Crushed Curry circle from Step 3 and trim off anything that will interfere with opening the card.
Stamp "hello" on the front of the leaf using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Adhere the leaf to the Crushed Curry circle with Dimensionals.
Next, adhere the circle to the Cherry Cobbler scallop.
Adhere the narrow strip of DSP to the inside of the card on the left, and the larger piece on the right.
Stamp the white circle with preferred greeting.
Adhere the circle onto Crushed Curry scallop.
Using repositioning tape stick the layers to the back of the Cherry Cobbler scalloped half circle.
Add adhesive to the back side of the layers. Close the card to transfer the layers to the inside of the card. Rub away the repositioning tape.
Finish the card off by adding Leaf Label & Amber Gems.
