Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- 2 pieces each 6-1/4" x 4" from Cardstock (I used Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry)
- 3-1/4" x 8-1/4" from Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1-1/4" wide
- scrap of Calypso Coral Cardstock
Pick out the half box die from the Perfect Parcel Dies. Put it on top of one of the large cardstock rectangles on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Repeat with the other large cardstock rectangle.
Fold on all score lines on both box half pieces using a Bone Folder.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the tabs on the ends of both box half pieces as shown.
Put small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the upper corners of both box half pieces as shown. Make sure these pieces are on the opposite side from the Tear & Tape pieces on the end tabs.
Remove the protective backing on the Tear & Tape pieces on the tab ends of one box half piece. Adhere it to the other box half piece as shown. Make sure the flat edges of each box half piece are on the bottom. Make sure the score lines match up.
Tip: Roll excess Tear & Tape hanging over the edge of the end tabs inward using your fingers.
Remove the protective backing on the Tear & Tape pieces on the tab ends of the other box half piece. Adhere it to the other end of the other box half piece to make the rectangle box. Make sure the score lines match up.
Tip: Roll excess Tear & Tape hanging over the edge of the end tabs inward using your fingers.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape pieces on one of the triangles on the bottom of the box and adhere it to the bottom side flap of the box. Repeat with the triangle on the other side.
Push down on the bottom of the box to make the long flaps tuck under the triangle end flaps as shown.
Fold the long flaps of the top of the box inward so the pointy flaps stick out to the sides as shown.
Open the top flaps and put in whatever treats you want in the box. Close the top flaps again and tuck the pointy end flaps into the slits cut into the sides of the box. One side of the box is shown.
The top of the closed box should look like this.
Place the top of the box upside down in the center of the strip of designer paper. Wrap the designer paper around the center of the box so the ends of the designer paper overlap on the bottom of the box. Use your fingers to crease the paper as it goes around the edges of the box.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive across one end of the designer paper. Remove the protective backing and adhere the end to the other end of the designer paper making a belly band around the box that will slide on and off.
Cut a 12" piece of Bermuda Bay 1/4" Mini Striped Ribbon.
Wrap the ribbon around the box on one side and tie in place using a knot. Trim the ends.
Mount the fancy edged label image from the It Starts With Art Set on Block B. Ink it up with Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crushed Curry rectangle.
Pick out the label die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. Put it on top of the stamped label image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the label image is centered in the die. Run through the tool.
Mount the "let's stay up late and craft" sentiment from the It Starts With Art Set on Block A. Ink it up with Coastal Cabana Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white scrap.
Unlock the 1" Circle Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment circle punch out to the center of the label cut out.
Adhere the label cut out to the front of the box so it looks like it is hanging from the knot in the ribbon.
Pick out the small, flower-shaped button die from the Arts & Crafts Dies. Put the flower-shaped button die on top of the scrap of Calypso Coral Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and/or paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the flower button cut out to the front of the box on the bottom left side of the label cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Dot being sure to get the adhesive as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower button cut out.
