P retty card perfect for a wedding or bridal shower using heat embossing and Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, foil sheets, and designer acetate pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of gold flowers and leaves all over design from Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Brass Foil Sheets
- 1-1/8" x 2-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Remove the protective film from the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate rectangle.
Pick out the detailed, floral rectangle die from the Ornate Layers Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 2" x 3-3/8". Put it on top of the Brass Foil Sheets rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the brass side is facing up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Put a couple of strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the detailed, floral rectangle cut out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the detailed, floral rectangle cut out to the bottom right corner of the horizontal Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the bottom and about 1/4" from the right side.
Put some strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate rectangle where they will be hidden by the detailed, floral rectangle cut out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate rectangle to the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" vanilla rectangle.
Adhere the vanilla rectangle with acetate piece attached to the front of the Very Vanilla Thick card.
Mount the rectangular ornate design pattern image from the Ornate Style Set on Block H. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal 1-1/8" x 2" vanilla rectangle.
Lay the stamped image on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Use strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the stamped and heat embossed rectangle to the center of the ornate brass foil cut out.
As you are ready to stamp using the Art Gallery Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount one of the shorter sentiments of choice from the Art Gallery Set on Block G. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of one end of the remaining thin strip of vanilla cardstock, leaving room to punch it out in a later step.
Lay the stamped sentiment strip on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Unlock the Classic Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped and heat embossed sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the card front so it overlaps the bottom of the heat embossed ornate design rectangle in the center of the ornate brass foil cut out as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a smaller enamel dot from a sheet of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the large flourish in the center of the ornate heat embossed image.
