S uper simple Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 1/2" x 5-1/2" of one of the designs from the Wrapped In Plaid 6x6" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 6-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Perfectly Plaid Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the plaid Christmas tree image from the Perfectly Plaid Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white strip. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the plaid Christmas tree image on Block C with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the middle of the horizontal white strip. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the image again on the other end of the horizontal white strip. Leave space between the images so they can be punched out. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Unlock the Pine Tree Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped tree images into the punch one at a time and get them centered in the punching area. Punch them all out.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the Christmas tree punch outs on the front of the Whisper White Thick card so they overlap each other a bit as shown.
Mount the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it just below and to the left of the group of Christmas tree punch outs. Make sure you leave room on the left edge for the strip of designer paper to be adhered.
Adhere the red and light green Christmas tree punch outs in place using SNAIL Adhesive.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the dark green Christmas tree punch out in place.
Adhere the strip of Wrapped In Plaid Designer Paper to the left edge of the card front.
Cut a 3" piece of Shaded Spruce/Gold 3/8" Striped Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is at the top of the trunk of the dark green Christmas tree punch out.
