So Detailed Birthday Card |

M y husband's aunt turns 100 and this is the card I made for her

This card is a little different. It has a pullout. To start, I first cut out the black portions on the front using the So Detailed thinlit dies. You get the best results by using the precision plate on the Big Shot and then using the Die Brush to brush out all those little bits.
I then glued the die cuts to a black base cut to 5-1/2 x 4-1/2. It needs to be a little wider so that the diecuts don't overlap. You can cut it however you like. The diecuts are scored and fold easily.
Next I took a piece of ShimmeryWhite cardstock cut to 5-1/2 x 4-3/8 and stamped the bow and the floral banner to the top and bottom of the card, using the Basic Black archival ink. This ink takes longer to dry but I heat set it since I was going to watercolor the flowers.
I used the ink from the tops of my ink pads (Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, and Wild Wasabi) and my aqua painter to fill in the flowers. Set aside to let dry.
Once dry I added a little fine tip glue to a few edges of the die cuts and attached the piece to the front. This makes the front solid and will not open.
I added the very vanilla ribbon and tied into a bow. I added the Falling in Love embellishment using silver metallic thread.
Next I took another piece of Shimmery White card stock cut to 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Basic Black archival ink and heat set. Once again I used the ink from my ink pad lids to watercolor the flowers on the sentiment. I cut a small slit in the top and added more ribbon, tied with silver metallic thread, to the top.
I put this piece behind the front piece and you then pull it out to view the card.
