In Color Birthday Card |
|
I 'm involved in a couple of different swaps featuring the new In Colors. This one uses Lemon-Lime Twist and Berry Burst.

I used a base of Lemon-Lime Twist (144245), topped with a piece of Berry Burst (144243) cut to 5.25 x 4.
Using Whisper White cut to 3.5 x 4.75, I first rubbed my embossing buddy over the entire front. I wanted to heat emboss and of course there is no embossing powder the color I wanted to use. There is an easy way to heat emboss in any color. I first inked up my birthday stamp with VersaMark and then Lemon-Lime Twist ink (144086). I then added the to you" in the same manner. Immediately cover both with clear embossing powder and heat emboss. Make sure it is fully heated.
I took some ink from the inside lid of my Berry Burst ink pad (144083) and colored in the flowers using my blender pen. I then colored in the leaves with Lemon-Lime Twist. If it's not dark enough for you, let dry and then add more color.
I had some small strips (1/4" wide) of Berry Burst from where I trimmed my piece for the card front. I added a strip to the bottom of the white card front using Tombow multipurpose glue.
Next I layered the white card front onto a piece of Basic Black card stock cut to 3.75 x 5" adhering with Fast fuse. I then adhered it to the card front using dimensionals and turned it a little cockeyed to add interest.
I felt the card was unfinished looking so added 3 black sequins from the Metallic Sequins.
For the inside I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut to 5.25 x 4. I stamped some flowers and leaves in the left bottom corner. The flowers came from Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and the leaves were from Paisleys & Posies. Of course you can use whatever stamps you have.
