In Color Swap Card #2 |
|
I am in two different swaps using at least one of the new In Colors. This is the second card in the series
|
|
|
I started with a base of Thick Whisper White card stock. I then cut a piece of regular weight Whisper White to 5-1/4" x 4" to use as the base for the card front.
On the left side I took a 3/4" x 5-1/4" strip from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack (you can get 8 strips from one sheet of 6 x 6 paper--great for making multiples of the same card!)
I then cut 3" squares from another piece of paper in that same stack and added it to the bottom right corner. That left a small space between the two papers but I knew the ribbon would cover it.
I took a small strip of 1/4" Berry Burst cardstock (left over from cutting some card fronts for my other card) and covered the seam at the top of the square.
I stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst using the Just Add Text stamp set
Before attaching the card front pieces to the card base, wrap with the Berry Burst 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon over the seam and space where the two papers don't meet. I then tied a bow separately and added to the front with glue dots.
Using Berry Burst, Powder Pink and Old Olive Stampin' Write markers, color your stamp from the Wood Words set as you desire. Huff on it to reactivate the ink and stamp on Whisper White card stock.
I then cut out the stamped image using the largest oval in the Stitched Shapes framelit dies. I cut a scalloped oval (the largest one) from the Layering Ovals die set in Berry Burst. I love how these dies coordinate!
Attach the two ovals together and adhere to the card with dimensionals.
