Whole Lot of Lovely Sympathy Card |

I love the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper and wanted to make a card using it. This card was made in my July stamp class.

Cardstock: Whisper White Thick cardstock for base, Pool Party 5-3/8" x 4-1/8", Tranquil Tide 5-1/8" x 3-7/8"
Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper 4-7/8" x 3-5/8"
Stamp Set: Rose Wonder
Ink: Tranquil Tide, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party
Pansy punch, Pretty Label Punch, Tranquil Tide Finely Woven Ribbon, Sponge Dauber, Tranquil Tide marker, glue dots, bone folder, dimensionals
I wanted to recreate the flower on the Designer Paper so first I punched out two Pansy flowers out of Pool Party cardstock. I then took the Flower Center stamp from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and stamped it over and over with Soft Suede into the center of one of the Pansies. Using a sponge dauber I sponged the edges of the flowers with Pool Party. I also sponged a little Daffodil Delight around the center of the flower. I sponged some Tranquil Tide around the flower center and then took the marker and made the lines leading out from the center. I took my bone folder and curled out the blossoms edges.
I put the two punched out flowers together, offsetting them, with a glue dot.
Next I stamped the sentiment using Tranquil Tide on Whisper White cardstock. Using the Pretty Label punch I punched out the sentiment. (You could also punch it out first and then stamp the sentiment). I sponged pool party around the edges of the label.
I began to assemble the card, layering the pool party, tranquil tide and designer paper. Next I added about 5" of ribbon to wrap around the front. I put a glue dot underneath the ribbon to hold it in place on the front.
Using dimensionals I added the sentiment to the card front and then added the flower also using dimensionals.
I stamped a sentiment inside also.
