All the cuts:
Rose Red base 5.5 x 8.50 scored at 4.25
Whisper White 5.25 x 2.24
Whisper White scrap
Whisper White 4 x 5.25 (for inside)
Shimmery White scrap
I started out by stamping the flower image from Petal Palette onto shimmery white cardstock using Basic Gray Archival ink. I let it dry for about 20 seconds and then began to watercolor. I used my aqua painter as a paintbrush and used the inks from my ink lids and some water in a jar. I did the leaves first, using Old Olive ink. I let that dry and then went over it again in spots with Old Olive to create some darker areas. Next I turned to the flowers and used Rose Red ink to add highlights to different spots of the roses. After letting that dry some, I used Blushing Bride to go over all the roses, letting the Rose Red blend in with the Blushing Bride.
Once dry I die cut the Rose using the Petals & More Thinlit dies.
I took the piece of whisper white cs (cut 5.25x2.25) and ran it through the new Scattered Sequins 3-D embossing folder.
Using a scrap of whisper white, I stamped the sentiment from Perennial Birthday on the front of the card using Rose Red. I then punched out the sentiment using the Pretty Label punch. I took a sponge (I cut our sponges into 8 pieces and use them that way) and sponged Rose Red around the edges.
To put the card together, I cut a doily in half and put up under the sequin embossed piece and put them down using Fast Fuse. I added the diecut roses using dimensionals on top. I also used dimensionals to attach the sentiment
I then turned to the inside. The "Happy Birthday" is from Perennial Birthday and the flowers are from the Petal Palette stamp set.
