Whisper White Thick cardstock card base
Crumb Cake, 5.25 x 4
Whisper White scrap
Berry Burst cardstock scrap
Watercolor Paper
I started by stamping the roses on watercolor paper using Basic Black archival ink. I also stamped the leaves on the watercolor paper using Old Olive ink.
Using the Petals & More dies, I cut out the flowers. I used my Scan N Cut to cut out the leaves.
Using ink from the top of the Berry Burst ink, I colored the flowers with an aqua painter. Once dry I went over different areas again to give it some definition. Using Lemon-Lime Twist ink I colored the leaves on the flowers. Once dry I added a little Old Olive to make areas darker. For the leaf stem, I used a little water to go over the stamped image to make it a bit more watercolor-like. I then went over the flowers with clear Wink of Stella.
Using the whisper white scrap, I stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst and then die cut using the stitched shapes framelit dies. I die cut a scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals dies in Berry Burst. I attached the sentiment to the scalloped oval.
Using the Basket Weave embossing folder, I embossed the crumb cake piece.
I then attached the Berry Burst ribbon across the front of the embossed piece and attached that piece to the card base.
I next attached the sentiment using dimensionals. Then I attached the leaf stem piece using a few mini dimensionals putting it on the card so that some leaves were on top of the sentiment and some were behind.
Once I got the leaf stem in place, I attached the flower piece using dimensionals.
