The kit has items to make banner cards but I chose to make regular cards. To start, I cut the striped card base in half (yay, double the number of cards!) and trimmed to 5.25 x 4 to make it a card front.
The floral card uses die cuts from Swirly Birds and May flowers--but you could use whatever leaf thinlits you have. The flowers are punched using the Pansy punch and the Petite Petals punch. The colors I used were Flirty Flamingo and Garden Green. The sentiment comes from Feather Together stamp set. I used a Whisper White Thick card base and layered Flirty Flamingo on top of that with the striped cardstock from the kit on the very top. I used Wink of Stella on the small flower and topped with a Pearl
The feather card uses a layer of Night of Navy on top of the white base. The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy. I stamped the feathers from Feather Together in Night of Navy and Tip Top Taupe and fussy cut them out. I popped up the navy feather with dimensionals and added a linen thread bow on top of them.
The shaker card uses the clear shaker triangle that came in the kit. I filled it with the sequins that came with the kit and then closed it up at the bottom so nothing leaks out. I added it to the front of the card with glue dots behind the sequins and then used the included washi tape to make it look like a hat at the base. This card uses a Peekaboo Peach card base and I wrapped Peekaboo Peach ruched ribbon around the card front. The sentiment comes from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set
I love the variety of the Paper Pumpkin kits. If you want to make them as instructed, pretty much everything you need comes in the kit--card bases, envelopes, "exclusive" stamp sets, ink spots, die cuts, embellishments, and often adhesive. You just need your own scissors and maybe some adhesive of your own. You can put these kits together in under an hour and they are easily transportable if you want to take them to use while you are waiting somewhere. And if you don't feel creative enough to come up with your own alternative ideas go to Facebook and search for Paper Pumpkin Fan Club. There you will find alternatives for all the kits!
Remember, the stamp sets in the Paper Pumpkin kits are exclusive--you can get them only by subscribing! And as a subscriber you can purchase past kits! If you subscribed in the past and didn't think it was a good value, you should check them out now--every month the kits get better and better! Stampin' Up! has really stepped up in improving the kits. For ~$20 you can get so many cards or projects out of your kits!
