Fruit Stand Birthday Card |
|
I wasn't sure about the Fruit Stand designer paper because I'm not really into fruit, but I am loving it now. Strawberries, peaches, pears, and bright flowers. I cut out some paper using a OSW (One Sheet Wonder) template and this uses one of those pieces. It's just so bright and fun!
This card starts with a base of Peekaboo Peach, topped with Pear Pizzazz. The top layer is a piece of Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper cut 3.75 x 5. Since I was going to split it up with a sentiment, I could have cut the paper smaller and then cut it on the diagonal to create a space for the sentiment.
For the sentiment, I used Sunshine Sayings and stamped it in Peekaboo Peach on a piece of Whisper White 1/2 " wide and longer than I needed it to be (so I could trim to fit after adhering. I layered that on a piece of Pear Pizzazz 3/4" wide. I then adhered with fast fuse across the card front and trimmed both ends.
I wanted a focal point and decided to stamp on a scrap of Whisper White a flower (two-step) with Peekaboo Peach from the Fresh Fruit stamp set. I then layered it on a scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits. Love these! I made it with just a peek of peach behind the circle but you could choose a larger scallop circle to back it if you wanted more showing.
This card was really easy to put together and could be used for a thank you or get well card. And for the inside, I put a piece of whisper white to write a message on. You could use a good quality printer paper for that too if you are concerned about the weight of the card you mail.
Everyone loves happy mail and a card perks everyone up! We're bringing back birthdays with #imbringingbirthdaysback
