No Bones About It Slider Birthday Card |
![]() |
O ne of my 5 grandsons turned 4 today and I decided to make him a slider card. Stampin' Up! makes it sooo easy to do! Using the No Bones About It stamp set (what boy doesn't like dinosaurs?) I created this card. My next class is all about slider and shaker cards. So this fits right in!

This card uses a Whisper White Thick base, topped with Old Olive cut to 5.25" x 4". The very top layer (with the slider) is 5" x 3.75" and is Whisper White. Using Basic Black ink, I stamped the footprints and then stamped the dinosaur in Old Olive. I stamped the bones in Basic Black. Since these are photopolymer stamps, it is so very easy to line them up. I then stamped the sentiment in Basic Black.
Next I cut out the slider part using the Slider Star Framelits Dies. I decided I wanted the dinosaur to have a party hat to slip and slide on the card. I liked the party hat from the Better Together stamp set. I used my Stampin' Write markers in Basic Black to ink up the outline of the hat, stamped on a scrap of Whisper White, and then colored in with Daffodil Delight and Real Red and then fussy cut it out. To attach the card front to the card, I used the new Foam Adhesive Strips to raise the card front up so I could attach the slider hat.
I took two very small washers and layered them together with a dimensional that I trimmed to make it small and round. I then attached the hat to that little sandwich with another dimensional. You want to make sure it will slide around. I then put the hat sandwich into the opening for the slider.
Stampin' Up! has a great video that shows how to use these dies and adhesives to make this card. Check it out here.

(I tried to link the video here but it won't let me--hopefully you can copy and past the link above to see the video!)
I think it turned out really cute and I hope my grandson likes it!
As mentioned above, I am having a Slider and Shaker class on October 4 and October 8. Check back for more information on this class or click on the events tab above.
I'm heading to Atlanta to see my grandson. I hope you have a great day and enjoy my slider card!
Happy Stamping!
