Faux Ribbon Sympathy Card |

T hank you to Donna Schnees of Cupcake and Lattes Stampers for sharing this technique.
Cutting Instructions:
- Evening Evergreen cardstock: cut 1 @ 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4; cut 1 @ 2 1/4" x 5 1/4".
- Basic White Cardstock: cut 2 @ 4" x 5 1/4" (one for inside); cut 1 @ 2" x 5 1/4".
- Texture Chic DSP: cut 8 pieces 3/4" x 3".
- Punch out Everyday Label Tag from Basic White Cardstock.
Instructions:
-Take the 2" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White Cardstock and each side add tick marks at 3/4", 1 1/2", 2 1/4", 3", 3 3/4" and 4 1/2".
- Then draw lines connecting the tick marks to create the diagonal pattern as shown in the pictured.
Instructions continued:
- Place your DSP on the areas according to the picture.
- Now adhere the top layer of DSP going the opposite direction as show in the picture.
- Now trim all the excess overhang off. See picture.
Finishing Instructions:
- Adhere the ribbon panel to the 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" piece of Evening Evergreen.
- Using the Gingham Embossing Folder and the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine emboss the 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White Cardstock, adhere to the front of the card base.
- Adhere the ribbon panel to the front of the card leaving some space to the left of the card.
- Take the Everyday Label punched piece and stamp the sentiment in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink. Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the piece and adhere to the card front centering it over the panel piece.
- Embellish card front with the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
- Add the 4" x 5 1/4" piece to the inside.
