Quiet Reflections - You're On My Mind |
|
T
he Quiet Reflections stamp set makes it easy to make sympathy or thinking of you cards. This card was inspired by Mary Knabe, with a couple of enhancements by me.
This card uses sponge daubers to apply color to the stamp, but you could also use the brush end of our Stampin' Write Markers to get the same effect.
This card uses a sneak peek of an upcoming Embossing Folder set called Fun Patterns (163790), an Online Exclusive item that will be available March 4th.

Instructions:
Burnish the card base on the score line.
Take the 2" x 4 1/4" piece of Basic White and run it through the Fun Patterns embossing folder. Attach this to the far right-hand side of the card front.
Using the 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" piece of Basic white, cut a circle using the 2nd smallest circle from the Deckle Circle dies. Stamp the sentiment using Misty Moonlight ink.
Take the larger scene stamp and place it stamp-side up on your work surface. Using a sponge dauber and Misty Moonlight ink, dab the color on the bottom half of the stamp. Bounce the dauber around so that there are no obvious circles of color, you want it to be blended.
Using a 2nd sponge dauber and Mossy Meadow ink, color in the top half of the stamp. Huff on the inked stamp and stamp it on the 3" x 3" piece of Basic White cardstock.
Let the image dry, then apply Wink of Stella to the Misty Moonlight part of the image. If you apply it while the ink is still wet, it will blend the ink and with the delicate detail of the trees on this stamp, it may remove the detail.
Adhere the stamped image to the 3 1/8" x 3 1/8" piece of Basic White.
Take the Mossy Meadow square and adhere the 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of Basic White square.
Take the stamped image layer and using dimensionals, mount it to the Mossy Meadow layers. Then attach this to the card front, lining it up to the left side of the card front.
Take the circle with the sentiment and attach 2 stacked dimensionals to the back right-hand side of the circle. Apply regular adhesive to the back left-hand side of the circle. Attach it to the card front.
Ink the top half of the stamp using the sponge dauber and Mossy Meadow ink. Stamp the lower left-hand corner of your envelope.
Attach the Iridescent Pearls to the card front.
Stamp your sentiment of choice on the inside of the card using Misty Moonlight ink.
You are finished!
