Split Four Technique |
|
T he Split 4 technique takes one sheet of white/vanilla and turns it into 4 cards. Here you will stamp your sheet but only complete 1 card. There are videos on-line for this technique.
First, score an 8 1/2 x 11 at 4 1/4 and 5 1/2 to get 4 equals sections.
Then stamp your largest stamp along the score lines.
Note in my picture the leaf stem, don't to that!
You should also spread your little images out a bit more, but don't worry you can always go back and add an image where you need it, less is more!
Trim your 8 1/2 x 11 down to 4 card fronts that are 5 1/8 x 3 7/8. Layer to the Cajun Craze 5 1/4 x 4 and attach to the card base that is Bumble Bee 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.
For a beginner card, stop here and add words to your card with Espresso Ink
Stamp words with Espresso on a scrap piece of Vanilla and punch out with 2" circle punch, or use a die if you have one.
Layer the ribbon under the circle. I glued the Vanilla Ribbon to the card and the twine I used dimensionals to hold it to the back of the circle.
For the small leaf:
Stamp image with Cajun Craze
Cover with Clear Packing Tape
Run through Big Shot, with both dies!
Add to card with a Dimensional.
You could use one of your stamped pieces for the middle of your card.
