T his is a tutorial to show you how easy it is to make swing cards using Soft Seedling stamp set from the July - December 2022 mini catalog.
Project Recipe
Dimensions:
Pumpkin Pie Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" and 6-5/8" (or 2-1/8" from the opposite side) It's easiest if you don't fold at the 2-1/8" score line until after we cut half a square with our die; (2) 3-1/4" x 3-1/4"
Basic White: (2) 2-5/8" x 2-5/8"; 2" x 3/4" for greeting
Gold Metallic Paper 2" x 1" for greeting
Use the large Stylish Shapes Die square and carefully line it up, so the score line is in the center of the die. As you're ready to run it through the Stamp, Cut & Emboss Machine, put the top plate up to the score line or a little bit beyond it. Cut the half square. This will be the background for your card front.
Tap the entire rubber stamp using Crushed Curry to color the leaf.
Using a sponge dauber add Pumpkin Pie ink over the Crushed Curry along the outer parts of the leaf.
Next, use a sponge dauber to add Cherry Cobbler to the edges of the leaf.
Add ink to the stems over the Crushed Curry with the paintbrush end using the Old Olive Stampin' Write marker.
Huff on it and stamp onto White 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" cardstock, ensuring the leaf is entirely on the cardstock.
Adhere the cardstock to the front of the card centered over the die-cut piece.
Stamp the greeting onto white cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink and fussy cut around it.
Layer the greeting onto the Gold Metallic Specialty paper and fussy cut around the top only
Adhere to the front of the card using mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
Adhere the narrow strip of DSP to the inside of the card on the left, and the larger piece on the right.
Stamp the 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" with the inside sentiment, and stamp the whirlybird in the corner.
Layer the cardstock onto the Pumpkin Pie die-cut square.
To adhere the layers to the card without measuring, use some repositioning / temporary tape to the front side and line the layers up with the back side of the layers on the front.
Add Stampin' Seal to the back of the layers and press in place.
The repositioning tape easily comes off the front by gently rubbing it away.
Finish off this card with Leaf Label and Amber Gem Combo Pack.
