P retty, sparkly Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Glimmer Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mossy Meadow Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of dark green filigree on lighter green background design from Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" square from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Gold Glimmer Paper
- 1" x 2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- scraps of Gold Glimmer Paper
Adhere the piece of Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper to the front of the Mossy Meadow card.
Pick out the scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 2-13/16" diameter. Put it on top of the Night of Navy square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Adhere the Night of Navy scalloped circle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and about 1/2" from the top.
Mount the pine tree image from the Winter Woods Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large Old Olive rectangle.
Pick out the large, solid pine tree die from the In The Woods Dies. Put it on top of the stamped pine tree image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the pine tree. It does NOT cut out the pine tree exactly. Run through the tool.
Bend the pine tree cut out slightly to make the cut ruffles stand out a bit.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the pine tree cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the scalloped circle cut out side to side and the top of the tree almost touches the top of the scalloped circle.
Pick out the "merry" die from the Merry Christmas Dies. Place it on top of the Gold Glimmer Paper rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Important: Save the cut out "merry" and the scraps of Glimmer Paper it was cut from. You will need the scraps in a later step.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the "merry" cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and overlaps the bottom of the pine tree cut out just a bit.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Christmas To All Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the block letter, small "wishes" sentiment from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Old Olive strip.
Pick out the small label framelit from the Merry Christmas Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the card front in the bottom right corner so it overlaps the lower loop of the "y" in the word "merry" cut out.
Unlock the Twinkle Builder Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the scrap of Gold Glimmer Paper into the punch and get it positioned so you will punch out the largest star. Punch. Move to another area of the scrap of Glimmer Paper and punch out another large star.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the one large star to the card front so it overlaps the right end of the sentiment label cut out.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional or Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the other large star to the card front at the top of the pine tree.
