C hristmas Card using the Good Morning Magnolia Suite Stampin' Up! 2019
Project Recipe
Cherry Cobbler 5.5 x 8.5 Card Base
4 x 4 Basic Black Cardstock
4 x 1-1/2 Magnolia Lane DSP
4 x 2 Champagne Foil
4 x 2 Champagne Foil for "Merry"
3 x 0.5 Mossy Meadow
4 x 0.5 Mossy Meadow
Whisper White insert
Fold the card base in half.
Adhere the piece of basic black to the top of the card leaving a 1/8 border on the top and sides.
Using the border die from the Mangnolia dies, line up with one edge of a piece of Champagne Foil and cut keeping both pieces. Cut the Merry out of the other foil piece using the Merry Christmas dies.
Colour in the flowers on the Magnolia Lane DSP to create poinsettias. Adhere the decorative edge piece of foil at the bottom of the DSP so that the sides are about 1/4 inch showing. Adhere the off cut at the top of the DSP with a 1/8 inch showing. Adhere the strip of Mossy Meadow to the top so that 1/8 inch shows above the foil.
Adhere this whole piece to the bottom of the card about 2-3/4 inches from the top of the Black and leaving a little of the Cherry Cobbler showing at the bottom. Adhere the Merry to the black area on an angle. I used retired adhesive sheets for this.
Stamp the Christmas Sentiment on the strip of Mossy Meadow in Cherry Cobbler Ink and very quickly add clear embossing powder on top. Heat to melt. Create a banner on the left side using the Triple Banner Punch (or your paper snips). Sponge around the edges with Whisper White Craft ink. Remember Craft Ink takes longer to dry. Adhere just above the decorative piece and up against the edge of the black using Dimensionals.
Place 3-5 rhinestones around the Merry. Stamp a flower on the insert and the envelope.
