Project Measurements:
11 x 4-1/4 Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
4 x 5-1/4 Pressed Petals Specialty DSP
4 x 5-1/4 Whisper White for the insert plus another piece to cut the 2-5/8 Stitched Square and 2-7/8x7/8 Stitched Rectangle
Scrap pieces of Shimmer White Cardstock for Pumpkin and leaves
5-1/4 inch Burlap Ribbon
This card is folded at 5-1/2. You can mount the wooden piece of DSP directly to the card front. If you like, stamp the little pumpkin leaf a few times on the on the insert piece of the whisper white and on the envelope to create a vine effect. The insert can also be adhered to the inside of the card.
To achieve a tone in tone colour for the pumpkin and the leaves directly stamp the pumpkin and five leaves onto the shimmer white paper.
Create an ink palate by squeezing the ink pad lid onto the ink pad or by pressing a clear block into the ink pad to pick up some ink. Prime an aqua painter (get the water running) and pick up some ink to colour in the stamped images. Once dry you can use the apple builder punch punch out the pumpkin. The leaves will need to be fussy cut.
Place the pumpkin onto the stitched square piece. Overhang slightly on the left side. Line everything up on the card base making sure that you have room for the rectangle piece and that the pumpkin won’t hang over the edge of the card. Once you are happy with the placement use a pencil to mark where the vine would come out of the pumpkin onto the square underneath. Now use that mark to add some vines directly onto the square piece. I stamped once going out to the left and extended the vine with by stamping the vine twice going out to the right. If you don’t make a perfect connection the gap can be covered with a leaf when you put it all together.
Stamp your sentiment on scrap whisper white and add a leaf to the right hand side. Cut out using a rectangle stitched die with the leaf to the very right of the piece. Adhere to the right side of the card covering half of the burlap ribbon. I put dimensionals along the top and used glue dots along the bottom to help with the height differences.
Using Dimensionals replace the pumpkin onto the card front where you had marked it. Add leaves to the vine, a couple straight to the card and a couple popped up.
