P retty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Smoky Slate Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" of rows of tiny white lines on Balmy Blue background design from Subtles 6" x 6 Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
DO THIS STEP FIRST!
Place the folded closed Smoky Slate card on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Make sure nothing you want to keep clean is too close.
Squeeze the Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to get some ink on the brush tip. Hold the Glitter Brush at a slight angle over the card front. Sharply tap the end of the Glitter Brush multiple times making drops of ink splatter onto the card front. Squeeze the Glitter Brush as needed to get more ink on the brush. Move the brush around so you get splatters on the entire card front. Vary the height of the Glitter Brush above the card front to get different sizes of splatters.
Set aside to allow to dry.
Adhere the piece of Balmy Blue Subtles Designer Paper to the center of the Misty Moonlight rectangle.
When the Wink Of Stella splatters on the card front are dry, adhere the matted designer paper rectangle to the center of the card front.
Mount the "thank you for everything" sentiment from the Seaside Bay Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal, thin, white strip.
Pick out the rounded off tag die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies that cuts out a tag that is 2-3/4" long. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die and the hole for the ribbon is on the left side. Run through the machine.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Misty Moonlight 3/8" Inner Braid Ribbon.
Poke one end of the ribbon through the hole on the left side of the sentiment tag cut out. Pull the ribbon through until you have two even pieces. Twist the ribbon so the braided side of the ribbon is face up on both pieces.
Cut a 10" piece of the Balmy Blue twine from the Baker's Twine Three Color Pack.
Tie the baker's twine around the ribbon just to the left of the hole in the tag top using a small bow. Make sure the braided side of each piece of the ribbon is face up. Trim the ends of the ribbon and the twine.
Adhere the sentiment tag cut out with ribbon and twine attached to the center of the designer paper rectangle on the card front at a slight angle as shown.
Mount the large, open oyster image from the Seaside Bay Set on Block C Ink it up with the Smoky Slate Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one side of the remaining white rectangle leaving room to cut it out.
Mount the pearl image from the Seaside Bay Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other side of the remaining white strip leaving room to cut it out.
Pick out both the matching, open oyster die and the matching, small circle die from the Seaside Bay Dies. Put them on top of the stamped images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the images. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Adhere the open oyster cut out to the front of the card in the lower right corner of the matted designer paper rectangle as shown.
Use the Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush to paint some sparkle onto the pearl cut out.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the shimmery pearl cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the pearl inside the open oyster cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 large and two small Balmy Blue gems from a sheet of Iridescent Pastel Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown.
