Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 3-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
Insert the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle into the embossing folder included with the Sweet Citrus Hybrid products. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine. Leave the folder out.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the center of the Pecan Pie rectangle and then to the front of the Lemon Lime Twist card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sweet Citrus Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the image which is all connected together and has 2 outline citrus fruits, one outline citrus slice, and one solid lemon/lime shape from the Sweet Citrus Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad so you get the 2 outlined fruits. Don't worry if the other images don't get fully stamped, you aren't using them on this card.
Tip: The best way to mount floppy photopolymer stamps like this is to place them stamping side down on your work surface and then press the block onto them.
Mount the image which is all connected together and has 2 full citrus fruit centers and one citrus slice center from the Sweet Citrus Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Again, don't worry if you don't get all of the citrus slice center as you aren't using it on this card. Stamp the images in the center of the previously stamped outline citrus fruits on the white rectangle.
Tip: The best way to mount floppy photopolymer stamps like this is to place them stamping side down on your work surface and then press the block onto them.
Pick out the matching set of 4 citrus fruits die from the Sweet Citrus Hybrid products. Put it inside the Embossing Folder from the Sweet Citrus Hybrid products so it fits into the grooves around the corresponding citrus fruits cut into the inside of the top flap (the one with the line and logo printed on it) of the Embossing Folder. Place the stamped white cardstock into the layered dies/embossing folder so they are centered in the dies. Close the folder and put it on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. This will cut out and emboss the citrus images at the same time.
Tip: If you have trouble lining things up together, cut out the fruits using the die first and then slide them into the embossing folder in the correct places and emboss them.
Using Stampin' Seal, adhere the circle lime image to the front of the card so it is about 1/2" from the right edge and about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge.
Using Stampin' Seal, adhere the half lime fruit to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left side of the lime circle a bit and is about 1" from the left edge of the card and 7/8" from the bottom of the card.
Mount the set of two leaves image from the Sweet Citrus Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Lemon Lime Twist square.
Pick out one of the matching set of 2 leaves dies from the Sweet Citrus Hybrid products. Put it on top of the stamped leaves on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Using Stampin' Seal, adhere the leaves cut out to the front of the card so they stick out of the top left side of the lime circle cut out as shown.
Pick out the more solid "feel better soon" die from the Wanted To Say Dies. Put it on top of the Blueberry Bushel rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the 2" x 3-1/2" Lemon Lime Twist rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the more detailed "feel better soon" die from the Wanted To Say Dies. Put it on top of the Lemon Lime Twist rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the green side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the Lemon Lime Twist "feel better soon" cut out. Adhere it to the center of the more solid Blueberry Bushel "feel better soon" cut out.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered "feel better soon" cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they overlap the left side of the citrus fruits and leaves. The left edge should be about 5/8" from the left edge of the card and the top edge should be about 1" from the top of the card.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Pecan Pie 1/2" Bordered Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle as shown so it is centered over the bottom left side of the "feel better soon" layered cut outs.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 Parakeet Party pearls from the sheet of 2022-2024 In Color Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere two to the front of the card as shown around the images and one to the center of the lime circle.
