Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-7/8" of light blue plaid design from Nests Of Winter 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/8" x 3-7/8" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 2" x 3-7/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" square from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle into the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the strip of Nests Of Winter Designer Paper to the bottom of the horizontal, dry embossed white rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the bottom. The left and right edges should be even.
Mount the large, half flower image from the Translucent Florals Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vertical, 2" x 3-7/8" white rectangle. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it just above the first flower. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it just below the first flower.
Adhere the flower stamped white strip to the center of the Night Of Navy strip so a tiny bit of Night Of Navy shows on the left and right edges. The top and bottom edges should be even.
Cut a 9" piece of the Night Of Navy thread from the Natural Tones Linen Thread.
Fold the thread into thirds. Lay the folded thread across the bottom of the matted floral stamped rectangle so it is between the center and bottom flowers. Fold the ends of the folded thread over and secure in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Night Of Navy rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the horizontal, dry embossed white layer with designer paper attached so it is about 5/8" from the left side. The top and bottom edges should be even.
Adhere the dry embossed white layer with designer paper and matted floral stamped strip attached to the center of the large Night Of Navy rectangle and then to the front of the Pool Party card.
Mount the "happy birthday" sentiment from the Translucent Florals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it on the remaing vertical white rectangle so it is centered.
Pick out the small hexagon die from the Something Fancy Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment and the sharp points of the die are on the top and bottom. Run through the machine.
Use the edge of the brush tip of the Night Of Navy Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of the sentiment hexagon cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment hexagon cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is centered over the top of the designer paper strip about 7/8" from the right side of the card.
Cut an 16" piece of the Night Of Navy thread included in the Natural Tones Linen Thread.
Fold the thread in half. Tie the folded thread around the thread already on the card front on the right side as shown using a small bow. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 large Pool Party dots from a sheet of Glossy Dots Assortment making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front at the base of each of the flowers as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 small Pool Party dots from a sheet of Glossy Dots Assortment making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front above and below the sentiment on the hexagon cut out as shown.
