Heartfelt Blooms Swap Card

This card was made for a Sale-a-Bration product swap. It uses the Spotlight technique

Basic Gray card base
Whisper white 4 x 5.25
small pieces of whisper white
small piece of basic gray

I started by first cutting out the circles. I used the next to the largest of the circles in the stitched shapes framelit dies. I then cut out the basic gray circle that was just a little bit larger than the stitched circle.

I used some repositional snail on the stitched circle and added it to the top of the 4 x 5.25 whisper white card front piece.

Using Smoky Slate ink, I stamped the large flower image from the Heartfelt Blooms SAB stamp set over the circle making sure the largest flower was on the circle. FYI: I found it easier to get a good image by standing to stamp and rubbing over the clear block to get the image all the way around the circle as well as on it. I then stamped different parts of the stamp on the four corners.

I removed the circle and then attached it to the basic gray circle.

Using my blends I colored in the image on the circle. I used both light and dark Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. I also used the lightest crumb cake and pumpkin pie to color in the center of the flower. TIP: Use the darkest color first and then the lighter, going over the dark with the light to blend seamlessly. I then used Wink of Stella on the flower center.

Using Fast Fuse I attached the two circles to the card front aligning them with the stamped image.

Using some scrap whisper white, I stamped the sentiment with Basic Gray archival ink. I then die cut the sentiment using the next to smallest oval in the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Using a wedge of sponge I sponged around the oval with Basic Gray (or you can use the Smoky Slate). I attached it to the card front using dimensionals.

I took a piece of the shimmery gray ribbon and wrapped it around the front of the card. I then took a small piece of the same ribbon and tied it around the strip to create a "bow".

Finally, I attached the card front to the base using Fast Fuse.
