Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Calypso Coral Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5-1/4" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- panel with lacy circles and flowers cut from a sheet of Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper
- scrap of Mint Macaron Cardstock at least 1-3/4" wide
- scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock at least 1-3/4" wide
Place the rectangle of Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper on top of some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Roll a Sponge Brayer across the open Calypso Coral Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, carefully roll the inky brayer over the piece of laser-cut paper. Repeat until you have the color coverage you want. Get more ink on the brayer as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Brayers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
As you are ready to stamp using the Bouquet Blooms Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the leaf image from Bouquet Blooms Stamp Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the large rectangle of Mint Macaron. Remember to re-ink the image every so often. Change the orientation of the image every so often. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock.
Place the inked up laser-cut paper upside down (colored side down) on top of a Silicone Craft Sheet to protect your work surface.
Use the fine tip of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to get thin lines of glue along the edges and on the back of some of the flowers and circles on the laser-cut paper. Or, cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters. Clip the angled end of the sponge in a large binder clip. Squirt some Multipurpose Liquid Glue onto one side of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then all over the back of the laser-cut paper. Adhere the laser-cut paper to the center of the stamped Mint Macaron rectangle.
Cut a 5" piece of Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim.
Lay the trim across the top of the Mint Macaron/designer paper rectangle so it is centered over the center of the lacy circle in the lower left corner. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the trim over. Adhere the ends of the trim in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Leave the protective backings in place for now.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Bouquet Blooms Set on an appropriately sized block. Ink it up with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the scrap of vanilla cardstock.
Unlock the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Unlock the 1-1/2" Circle Punch. Slide the scrap of Mint Macaron into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment circle punch out to the center of the Mint Macaron circle.
Adhere the matted circles to the lower right corner so they are centered over the trim and overlap the lower left side of the flower on the right edge of the laser-cut paper.
Place the card front on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Use the Paper-Piercing Tool to poke holes through all layers in the center of the flower on the right edge of the laser-cut paper, the center of the flower on the left side of the laser-cut paper, and the open space in the upper right corner.
Pick out a large, smooth Calypso Coral brad from the Basic Brads. Insert the prongs through the hole in the upper right corner. Flip the pieces over and bend the prongs of the brad flat.
Pick out two small Calypso Coral brads from the Basic Brads. Insert the prongs through the holes in the centers of the flowers. Flip the pieces over and bend the prongs of the brad flat.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the Mint Macaron cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the Calypso Coral card.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim.
Tie a half knot in the center of the trim. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the trim knot to the top of the trim already on the ribbon on the left side.
