F un treat tins decorated with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 3" x 7-3/4" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 1-3/8" x 3" of seaweed and crabs on ocean bottom design from Whale Of A Time 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3" from Coastal Cabana Cardstock
- scrap of cardstock of any color about 2" x 2"
Fill the Rectangle Tin with treats and close.
Insert the Bermuda Bay rectangle into the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder as far as it will go so some of the rectangle hangs out the bottom of the folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine platform so the closed end of the folder goes through first and the excess cardstock is hanging out the end. Run through the machine.
Wrap the dry embossed Bermuda Bay rectangle around the center of the closed tin so that the smooth section that did not get embossed is on the bottom of the tin only.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive on the ends of the belly band to adhere it together.
Unlock the Everyday Label Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the top short edge of the Whale Of A Time Designer Paper strip into the right side of the punch from above (see the attached picture). Get it centered from side to side and punch off the top edge. You should now have a tag (minus the ribbon hole) punched from the designer paper. Leave the punch unlocked.
Unlock the Label Me Fancy Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the scrap of cardstock into the punch so you will punch the small circle from the end of the cardstock. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Hold the Everyday Label Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the end of the cardstock with the hole punched into one side of the punch and get the hole centered in the bump on the end of the punching area. Punch. You should now have a little piece of cardstock that matches the end of the label punch with a perfectly placed hole to use as a template (see the attached picture).
Place the tag hole template on top of your designer paper tag so it is lined up with the top of the tag (it may be slightly wider, but that is okay). Use a pencil to mark where the hole will be punched.
Slide the top of the designer paper tag into the side of the open Label Me Fancy Punch and get the small hole punching area centered over the pencil mark. Punch. You should now have a complete tag made from the designer paper.
As you are ready to stamp using the Beautiful Autumn Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the set of three tags which includes the whale tag image from the Celebration Of Tags Set on Block I. Ink up just the whale stamp using the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp the whale image so it is centered near the bottom of the vertical strip of Coastal Cabana Cardstock.
Pick out the large, set of three tags die from the Trio Of Tags Dies. Put it on top of the stamped rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the center tag with the fancy edge on one end only is centered over the whale image so the whale is near the bottom of the tag. Run through the machine.
Cut a 15" piece of the 1/4" Coastal Cabana ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack.
Wrap the ribbon around the top of the belly band wrapped around the tin. Tie in a half knot near the left side.
Stack the whale tag on top of the designer paper tag. Slide one end of the ribbon through the holes in the top of the tags. Tie in place with a knot. Trim the ends of the ribbon and fan the tags out a bit.
Use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick Tool to pick out 1 Flirty Flamingo shell and 2 Pool Party or Pacific Point round sequins of different sizes from the Whale Of A Time Sequins. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the sequins to the belly band on the right side of the tags.
