Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Misty Moonlight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Boho Blue Cardstock
- 2 pieces each a 2-1/4" square from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 1-3/8" x 6" of different shades of blue flowers and leaves on white background design from Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/8" x 6" of blue foxes, blue flowers and leaves on dark blue background design from Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the Boho Blue cardstock rectangle into the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Misty Moonlight 3/8" Inner Braid Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the vertical, dry embossed cardstock rectangle so it is about 7/8" from the bottom edge . Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Boho Blue rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Misty Moonlight card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Circle Sayings Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Circle Sayings Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Double Oval Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the smooth oval punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide the thin Misty Moonlight strip into the unloced Double Oval Punch and get it centered in the scalloped oval punching area. Punch.
Adhere the smooth, white, sentiment oval punch out to the center of the scalloped, Misty Moonlight punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon.
Lay one 2-1/4" Misty Moonlight square on top of the center of the Grid Paper so it is evenly lined up over the center and is a square.
Adhere the other 2-1/4" Misty Moonlight square on top of the other square so it forms a diamond shape and is evenly lined up (use the lines on the Grid Paper to help you get it lined up properly).
Pick out the stitched square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies that cuts out a square that is 1-1/16" square. Put it on top of one of the Countryside Inn Designer Paper strips on one end on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Repeat three more times until you have 4 squares cut out. Leave the die out.
Put the stitched square die on top of the other Countryside Inn Designer Paper strip on one end on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Repeat three more times until you have 4 squares cut out.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay one dark blue designer paper square in the upper left corner of the layered squares so about 1/16" of Misty Moonlight shows on the top and left edges. Now, lay a white square over the top of it so it fits into the diamond point in the same way. Continue around the layered square laying the designer paper squares out in an alternating pattern so they overlap each other a bit.
This is letting you decide on which part of the patterns you want to have showing the most.
When happy with the arrangement of squares, adhere them in place one at a time. Make sure NOT to put adhesive on the inside edge of the first square you adhere in place. You need to be able to slide the last square under it when you get back to the beginning.
Place the completed pinwheel on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to poke a hole through all the layers in the very center.
Pick out a large, white, square brad from the Round & Square Brads.
Insert the prongs of the brad through the hole and flatten them on the back side of the pinwheel.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the pinwheel to the front of the card as shown so it is centered side to side and is just above the sentiment oval punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Boho Blue gem from the sheet of Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the brad in the center of the pinwheel.
