F un Halloween card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Cajun Craze Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3 pieces each 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Insert the Blackberry Bliss rectangle into the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder horizontally. Use the thin line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line up the cardstock and get it straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Blackberry Bliss rectangle to the front of the Cajun Craze card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Letters for You Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the letter "B" from the Letters for You Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the larger white rectangles.
Mount the letter "O" from the Letters for You Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of another of the larger white rectangles. Re-ink the stamp and stamp again on the final larger white rectangle.
Mount the exclamation point from the Letters for You Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the smaller white rectangle.
Pick out the matching letter and exclamation point framelits from the Large Letters Framelits. Place the stamped "B", one stamped "O", and the stamped exclamation point image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the matching framelits on top so they are centered over the stamped images. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the final "O" image.
Tip: You will not be able to see all of the letters when lining the framelits up on the stamped images. Just line them up as best you can based on what you can see.
Lay the letters on the card front so they spell the word "BOO!" and are centered up and down and close to the right side. Let the letters overlap and tilt a bit. When happy with the layout, adhere the letters in place one at a time using a Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue. You can use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the dot on the exclamation point if you prefer.
Unlock the Cat Punch. Slide the black cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the cat punch out to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals so the cat is to the left of the word and the tail overlaps the "B" a bit.
Carefully peel up a medium-sized Blackberry Bliss or Basic Black dot from the sheet of Faceted Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the dot on the exclamation point.
