Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, Foil Sheets and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Tranquil Tide Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 3-7/8" of light green, light brown, and white leaves on dark green background design from Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 3-7/8" of light woodgrain design from Wood Textures 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut at an angle along one of the 3-7/8" edges
- 3-1/2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 3-3/4" from Copper Foil Sheets
- 1-7/8" x 3-5/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Adhere the piece of Nature's Poem Designer Paper to the top of the piece of Soft Suede Cardstock so about 1/16" of Soft Suede shows on the top, left, and right edges of the designer paper.
If you haven't already done so, cut one 3-7/8" edge of the Wood Textures Designer Paper piece at an angle so that the left side of the paper is 2" tall and the right side is 2-3/4" tall.
Adhere the piece of Wood Textures Designer Paper to the bottom of the Soft Suede rectangle so it overlaps the bottom of the Nature's Poem Designer Paper and about 1/16" of Soft Suede shows on the bottom, left, and right edges.
Cut a 5" piece of the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon diagonally across the matted cardstock/designer paper layers so it covers the diagonal seam between the two designer paper layers. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the Soft Suede rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Tranquil Tide card.
Ink up the oak tree image from the Lovely As A Tree Set using the Tranquil Tide Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, use the brush tip of the Soft Suede Marker to go over the trunk of the tree. You may need to go over the trunk several times to remove most of the Tranquil Tide Ink and replace it with Soft Suede. Scribble on Grid Paper every so often to remove the green ink from the marker tip. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp in the center of the vanilla square.
Pick out the smooth circle die that cuts out a 2-5/8" circle from the Layering Circles Dies. Place the stamped tree image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle die on top so it is centered over the stamped tree image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the brush tip of the Mint Macaron Marker to color in the leaves of the tree and the grass around the base of the tree. Use the brush tip of the Crumb Cake Marker to color in the trunk of the tree. Use the brush tip of the Tranquil Tide Marker to carefully outline the edge of the circle cut out.
Place the colored tree circle cut out upside down on your work area. Put some strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the back of the circle. Peel off the protective backings.
Loop one end of the Copper Metallic Thread around your fingers a few times. Cu the thread loose from the spool. Press the loops of thread to the adhesive on the back of the tree circle cut out so the thread sticks out to the upper left side (this will be the upper right side when the tree circle cut out is right side up).
Turn the tree circle cut out right side up and adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the ribbon and the two different designer papers on the left side.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to the white side of the Copper Foil Sheets piece. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Copper Foil Sheets on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (copper foil facing up).
Pick out the "amazing" die from the Celebrate You Dies. Place the "amazing" die on top of the Copper Foil Sheets piece on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the "amazing" cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card at a diagonal so it overlaps the bottom of the tree circle cut out and the ribbon a bit.
Pick out a single copper leaf from the Leaves Trinkets. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere it at a slight angle to the front of the card in the bottom right corner.
