P retty hello card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pecan Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of gold grid on white background design from Nature's Sweetness 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" of Pecan Pie grid paper design from Nature's Sweetness 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 3-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Old Olive Cardstock
Adhere the piece of gold grid on white Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Paper to the front of the Pecan Pie card.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-7/8" x 4-3/8" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the Pecan Pie grid Nature's Sweetness Specialty Series Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle cut out to the front of the card in the center.
Mount the cocoa pods image from the Lovely & Sweet Set on Block E. Ink up ONLY the words on the right side of the image using the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the words in the center of the 1" x 2" Old Olive rectangle. Leave the stamp on the block.
Pick out the tab die from the Lovely & Sweet Dies. Put it on top of the stamped rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the words vertically with the top of the tab on the left side. Run through the machine.
Adhere the tab cut out to the left side of the brown grid paper rectangle cut out on the card front as shown in the upper left corner.
Ink up the entire cocoa pods image on Block E using the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp the image in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the matching cocoa pods die from the Lovely & Sweet Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine
Place the cocoa pods cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the tiny flowers.
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color in the leaves.
Use the Medium Deep Natural Tones (SU400 and SU300) Stampin' Blends to color in the top cocoa pod and stems.
Use the Medium Natural Tones (SU500 and SU600) Stampin' Blends to color in the bottom cocoa pod.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends as needed to remove excess color.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored cocoa pods cut out to the front of the card as shown.
Mount the "just a little note to say hello" sentiment from the Notes Of Nature Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining Old Olive strip.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the ends of the stamped sentiment strip at sharp angles as shown.
Adhere the cut down sentiment strip to the front of the card as shown in the bottom right corner of the brown grid paper rectangle cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small and 2 large cork rounds from the sheet of Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
Cut a 2-1/2" piece of the Gold 1/8" Faux Leather Trim.
Tie a half knot in the center of the trim. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the trim knot to the top of the cocoa pods cut out stem at a slight angle as shown.
