W hen you don't have much time to craft but you need a quick project the one sheet cards are fantastic. One sheet of cardstock, one sheet of DSP, and you have yourself some quick projects.
Project Recipe
Cut a base card using the Rich Razzleberry 8 1/2 x 11 paper by cutting the paper in half on the 11" length. then scoring at 4 1/4" along the 8 1/2" length and folding the card.
Using a sheet from the Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP pack, cut strips of 4" lengthwise. Take the 4" strips and cut these at the 4" mark. this will give you sixteen 4" x 4" pieces of paper.
On the cutting line of your trimmer, line up opposite corners with the paper lying like a diamond. Cut the paper to get 2 triagles.
Adhere the two triangles onto the base leaving a strip of the base card showing between the two triangles.
Cut out a circle from the Silver foil paper using the Stitched Framelits.
Cut out a 1 1/4" circle with the punch from So Saffron paper.
Stamp the Happy Birthday greeting from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry. Add streamers from the same set in the same colour.
I also rubbed the side of the so saffron circle onto the ink pad to give it a border.
Variation: I stamped the Happy Birthday and then added clear embossing powder and heat embossed the greeting to give it some shine. Same with the streamers.
Putting it together:
adhere the silver foil circle into the middle of the card. Pop the sentiment in the middle of the silver circle.
The dotted DSP in the Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP can be paired with a card base of Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Pacific Point or you can pick the green in the DSP with Old Olive.
The Happy Birthday Thinlit was used with Gold Glimmer paper that was popped a bit by cutting Dimensionals into thin strips to place behind the letters.
