ave you ever noticed the fun patterns on paper towels? (Please tell me I'm not the only one!)
I decided to add some ink to a Kirkland (Costco) brand paper towel and use it as a stamp...and this technique was born. You're not surprised, are you?
Project Recipe
You will need some paper towels that have an embossed design on them. We will be using the Kirkland brand for this card. Tear off 3 towels and fold them one on top of the other, then in half. You should have 6 layers.
Press a well-inked Soft Sky ink pad directly onto the paper towels several times, creating an area slightly larger than the card stock you will be stamping.
Lay your panel of card stock directly on the inked area of the paper towel and gently rub to transfer the ink. You could instead walk your fingers over the panel as though you were playing the piano. This will give you a mottled look, which will make a nice cloudy sky.
Try using this technique as a lacy looking background for a floral card!
