Cut 2 pieces from different patterns
Score and burnish Night of Navy cardstock. Attach the larger Basic White cardstock to the front of the card base. Set this aside.
Take the remaining Basic White layer and decide which die cut you want to use from the Patchwork Pieces set. For this sample, I used the wavy die cut.
Place the die over the Basic White cardstock and trace around all the openings. It doesn't matter if you use a pencil or pen, you will be covering this up with the die-cut pieces.
Don't worry if your tracing isn't perfect. This is just to give you a starting point for where the pieces will go.
Next, die-cut the DSP panels. Stack them together and cut them both at the same time. Be sure to check to see if the paper has a specific direction to the pattern.
In this case, the pattern was in portrait orientation.
Separate the die cuts and lay them out so that each piece is an alternate pattern. Save the 2nd set for a future card.
Starting with the top left corner of the Basic White layer, apply the first die cut making sure that it is aligned with the top and left-hand side of the Basic White layer. This is your guide for the remaining pieces.
NOTE - I find that using liquid glue works best for these die-cuts as there are lots of small areas where double-sided tape won't go, plus it gives you a little wiggle room.
Continue adding the die-cut pieces until you have covered the Basic White layer.
If you notice any white cardstock peeking around the edges, just trim them with scissors.
Attach the die-cut panel to the Lemon Lolly layer. Determine if you want your card to be portrait or landscape. Then wrap the longer piece of white ribbon around that layer and attach the ends to the back using double-sided tape. Attach this to the card front.
Stamp the sentiment on the bottom of the white circle. Then stamp the bird and the hearts.
Attach the stamped circle to the card front using dimensionals. Place it wherever it looks best to you (this will be determined by whether you went portrait or landscape for your card. Once the circle is in place, take the smaller piece of white ribbon and tie it in a knot next to the circle.
Stamp the sentiment on the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White. Stamp the bird and hearts. Attach to the inside of the card.
Add your embellishments to the front.
You are done!
