A
quick birthday card that uses just a few small pieces of Designer Series Papers (great way to use up those scraps!). Minimal stamping with a lot of emphasis on the papers.
This card uses supplies from the 2024 Sale-a-Bration (DSP) but you can substitute what you have on hand.
Project Recipe
Measurements:
Card Base (Thick White) -
8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score @ 4 1/4"
Pebbled Path Layer -
5 1/2" x 2 5/8"
DSP panels -
3 from various patterns - 3" x 2"
Linen Thread -
1 - 18"
1 - 8"
Instructions:
Score and fold card base.
Using Pebbled Path ink, stamp the sentiment on the bottom center of the card.
Die cut the 3 pieces of DSP using the 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" die from the Perennial Postage dies.
Using dimensionals, mount the 3 DSP panels on the piece of Pebble Path cardstock.
Using the 18" piece of Linen Thread, secure one end on the back of the cardstock and wrap the remaining length around it twice, then secure the remaining end to the back. TIP - using scotch tape works well for this step.
Attach the Pebbled Path cardstock panel to the card base, positioning it just above the stamped image.
Take the 8" piece of Linen Thread and slide it under the thread on the card front. Tie it in a bow and position it where you prefer on the card. I did mine just center of the 1st panel.
Add your embellishments. For this card, I just did a scatter of 3 on one panel, but you can place them where you like!
Stamp the inside sentiment using Pebbled Path ink (and center it better than I did on the sample card, lol!)
Your card is finished!
