P retty, but simple, Valentine card for the January RemARKably Creative Blog Tour. Uses Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut card stock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Card Stock
- 2" x 3" from Very Vanilla Card Stock
Mount the small striped heart on Block A. Ink it up with the Sweet Sugarplum Ink Pad and stamp randomly all over the large vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink each time.
Mount the small petal patterned heart on Block A. Ink it up with the Sweet Sugarplum Ink Pad and stamp randomly all over the large vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink each time.
Mount the small solid heart on Block A. Ink it up with the Sweet Sugarplum Ink Pad and stamp randomly all over the large vanilla rectangle. Remember to re-ink each time.
Fill an Aqua Painter with water. Squeeze the Sweet Sugarplum Ink Pad to get some ink on the pad lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Squeeze the Aqua Painter over the lid to make some water drip into the lid. Swish the water into the ink with the brush tip of the Aqua Painter to get it thoroughly saturated with inky water. Hold the Aqua Painter over the stamped vanilla layer and tap the barrel to make the inky water splatter onto the card stock. Get more inky water on the brush tip as needed and move the Aqua Painter to get good coverage. Tip: Be sure to move anything you don't want to get spattered with ink out of the way before doing this step!
Put a 1" line of SNAIL Adhesive on the stamped and splattered vanilla layer about 1" from the left side and 2" from the bottom. Adhere a Lace Doily to the SNAIL so the vanilla side is facing up.
Cut a 5" piece of the Sweet Sugarplum ribbon from the Succulent Garden 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack. Place it horizontally across the center of the Lacy Doily adhered to the stamped and splattered vanilla card stock. Carefully flip the card stock over. Fold the ends of the ribbon over onto the back of the card stock and secure in place using small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive placed across the ends of the ribbon.
Add additional SNAIL Adhesive to the back of the vanilla rectangle and remove the protective strips from the Tear & Tape Adhesive. Adhere the vanilla rectangle to the front of the Sweet Sugarplum card.
Mount the "Hello Love" sentiment on Block C. Ink it up with the Sweet Sugarplum Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Very Vanilla strip.
Unlock the Decorative Label Punch and hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the sentiment strip into the punch and get the sentiment centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Sweet Sugarplum Marker to outline the punched out sentiment.
Adhere the sentiment label so it is centered over the ribbon and the doily using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Adhere a Falling in Love Embellishment to the upper right corner of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot.
