Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Soft Succulent Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-7/8" of pink flowers on mottled brown, pink, and green background design from Texture Chic 12" x 12" Specialty 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Distressed Gold 12" x 12" Specialty Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Season Of Chic Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the "you are amazing beyond measure" sentiment from the Season Of Chic Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it in the bottom right corner of the horizontal, large white rectangle.
Mount the "thanks" sentiment from the Season Of Chic Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Soft Succulent Ink Pad. Stamp it in the bottom right corner of the horizontal, large white rectangle just above the previously stamped image.
Mount the smaller, sparser splatter image from the Season Of Chic Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in a tight cluster just above the stamped sentiments so the right edges of the splatters are about 3/4" from the right edge. Remember to re-ink the stamp every so often, but stamp some images without re-inking. Change the orientation of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images overlap each other. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Rub the Embossing Buddy included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit all over the stamped white rectangle.
Re-ink the smaller, sparser splatter image on Block B. Ink it up with the VersaMark Ink Pad. Stamp it a few times over the top of the Soft Suede splatters, remembering to re-ink the stamp each time.
Open the Gilded Leafing and pour at least some of it into a large container with a lid. Be careful, the leafing tends to go everywhere!
Lay the VersaMark stamped rectangle in the center of the Powder Pal included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Sprinkle on some Heat And Stick Powder so it covers the splatters. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
BE READY TO WORK QUICKLY!
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it just starts to melt. Place the cardstock with heated powder upside down into the Gilded Leafing container and press down lightly.
Remove the cardstock from the container and use the Crafting Brush included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit or your fingers to brush off excess Gilded Leafing. Return the Gilded Leafing to the container to use again later.
Adhere the piece of Texture Chic Specialty Designer Paper to the left side of the stamped and gilded white rectangle.
Adhere the white rectangle with designer paper attached to the center of the Petal Pink rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" inch piece of the Soft Succulent 1/2" Satin Shimmer Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted, stamped, and layered cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the cardstock and designer paper. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Petal Pink rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Soft Succulent card.
Mount the more solid flower image from the Season Of Chic Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the small white strip. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Leave room between the images to cut them out.
Mount the more detailed, outline flower image from the Season Of Chic Set on Block B using the Soft Succulent Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of one of the previously stamped flower images. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the more detailed, outline flower image on Block B with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the other previously stamped flower on the white strip.
Pick out the large, open flower die from the Chic Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped flower images on the white strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine. Repeat with the other flower image..
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they overlap each other and the ribbon a bit.
Pick out the larger, more detailed flower die from the Chic Dies. Put it on top of the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick and/or Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional in the center of the back of the gold flower cut out to adhere the flower cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the other flower cut outs a small bit.
Pick out one trinket from the Open Leaf Trinkets. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere it to the front of the card as shown so the base of the leaf is tucked under the one flower.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large butterfly from a sheet of Brushed Brass Butterflies making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card in the upper right corner as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one large Soft Succulent opal from the sheet of 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the detailed gold flower cut out.
